À propos de Kessel
Good news! Kessel will be serving delicious breakfast between 7-10 a.m. from April 16th up to and including May 1st.
It’s a bold concept to combine a restaurant and folk festival and party venue, and then house them all under the roof of an alpine hut, but that’s exactly what Kessel has done along Rue Berreggaass in Wormeldange. The kitchen keeps daily hours from 11:30 in the morning until 10:30 at night, turning out fine European cuisine, perfectly complemented by Kessel’s very long list of liquid refreshments. The main event, so to speak, is Kessel’s peerless ability to put on a party – either your very own private celebration, or famous Luxembourg folk festivals.

Philosophie
Kessel might be an alpine hut party spot with attitude and the keen ability to give you some serious altitude, but it’s all down to earth food on offer here in the eastern commune of Wormeldange. The Kessel burger can be stacked twice over if you wish, packed in any case with 100% pure beef, cheese, bacon, iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, onions and Kessel’s very own special sauce. There’s also a bite-sized version for the kids. The horse sirloin is one of the more unusual dishes that can be found coming out of Kessel’s kitchen down Rue Berreggaass, but our favourite has to be the Clipboard Butcher, a selection of raw and cooked hams, country-style pate, sausage, cheese, vegetables and pretzels that can easily feed two.
When it comes to drinks, Kessel is hard to beat. With one of the most extensive selections in the Wormeldange region, stopping by Rue Berreggaass for a tipple is an event all by itself. White, red, and rose wines clamour for your attention, while those here for a celebration will want to pop some bubbles (Moet & Chandon, Cremant de Luxembourg) or go really big with a magnum of Coteaux d’Aix en Provence rose Chateau Paradis. Most, however, come to Kessel for its schedule of Luxembourg’s finest folk music festivals, including Schueberfouer, Hierschtkiermes, and Kermesse d'Automne Dudelange.
