8 Days Cafe

It took the Good Lord 6 days to create the heavens and the earth, and indeed, it took a fair bit out of the old boy: he had to take the 7th Day off. History – insofar as we consider the Bible to be historical – doesn’t record what God did on the 8th Day, but had he been in Melbourne, we think he’s have gone to the 8th Day Cafe on Armadale High Street. They offer delicacies morning, noon and night to all that enter their doors, with a cafe menu that is guaranteed to delight. Early visitors will go for the Aussie classics of bacon & egg, served on a brioche bun, or the smashed avocado with feta, whereas for later arrivals, we’d recommend the salt & pepper calamari, the Queensland prawn linguine or the house signature: 8 Days steak sandwich, with bacon, slow-roasted tomato, caramelised onions and a poached egg. There are evening meals too, not to mention the extensive wine list and a craft beer selection. Pay them a visit for a cafe in Melbourne that the Lord himself would patronise.
