About A la Turka

Bringing a taste of Turkey to Brentwood town centre, A la Turka is a sophisticated Turkish restaurant conveniently located on the High Street. With its warm and welcoming atmosphere, menu of authentic Turkish cuisine, and even live entertainment and belly dancing performances on the weekend, whether its for a romantic dinner date, a leisurely lunch with friends, or somewhere to kick off your night out in Essex, A la Turka is the ideal choice. Start off by sharing some meze like the falafel, sucuk, or deep-fried calamari rings, before moving on to some mouthwatering charcoal-grilled meats like the adana kofte (minced lamb with onions and parsley served with rice and salad), some fresh fish or seafood, or the vegetable moussaka. Went for early dinner on Christmas Eve with my 2 children at their request. We always have great food here, my children have a portion of hoummous each which they devour along with the warm flat bread, the only downside to this is that they can never quite finish their main meal, even though they thoroughly enjoy it! Highly recommend the adana kofte. The food is simple and tasty with no flouncy unnecessary herbs etc thrown over it to ruin it. I do not hesitate to recommend eating here, although I selfishly don't want it to get too well known as it's nice to keep this little gem to ourselves!
