Barolo Camberwell is a cosy and delightful trattoria specialising in Italian and Mediterranean cuisines. Perfect for long lunches, an afternoon aperitivo or a romantic dinner with that special someone, this Melbourne restaurant certainly ticks all the right boxes. Begin with a few plates of antipasti such as the garlic prawns; crispy pork belly with chilli jam or fried calamari served with lemon and aioli, before a main of freshly made pizza topped with slow-cooked lamb, spinach, caramelised onion and feta, or the spaghetti marinara with mussels, clams, prawns, calamari, white fish and lashings of chilli and garlic in a Napoli sauce. If all this sounds up your alley, you best be reserving a table at Barolo Italian on Burke Road in Camberwell. What are you waiting for?

Had booked on the 3rd November for 9 people for dinner on 22 November. We arrived for dinner at 7.30 and the restaurant was closed. You would think that out of courtesy they would have notified people who had bookings that the restaurant was no longer operating.
Great , friendly and helpful service with generous servings of very tasty food. The fettuccine marinara was excellent with plenty of seafood and just aldente pasta... Yum! BYO ($10 a bottle) and easy parking in Burke Rd made for an enjoyable dining experience....but book, as the restaurant filled quickly and by 7.3pm was full. We'll be back.
