In the happening precinct of bars and restaurants known as Salamanca Place, Beef and Seafood Grill is where locals can go to enjoy great seafood, steaks, platters and desserts. Founded in 1988 as Gladstone’s Restaurant, this excellent dining establishment has been a consistent local favourite since its opening. From their restaurant on Gladstone Street in Battery Point you can choose from a wide range of menu items including Tasmanian Atlantic salmon, seafood gnocchi, lamb backstrap, Tasmanian grass-fed Cape Grim beef, New York Scotch fillet and much more besides. For dessert, the Salamanca Inn’s cheesecake is an absolute must-try. Make your way down to Beef & Seafood Grill for breakfast, lunch or dinner right near the heart of Hobart CBD, just steps from St David’s Park and the Parliament House, but be sure to book ahead!
We loved our first visit to the Beef and Seafood Grill the Food was Delicious the staff were friendly will go back again that's for sure
The food we chose was delicious especially BBQ prawns entree. The staff were friendly and efficient even though there was another function they were attending to in another room.
Staff there are friendly and service is great. Small and tidy place. Easy to locate. Steak could be better, just a bit dry. Overall experience is fine.
January-2018 The food was lovely - pork entree was excellent. The staff very friendly & knowledgeable about the wines and menu. Ambiance is dreadful, a full overview of the space is required, very tired looking venue.
My steak was cooked nicely (medium-rare), but my wife's (medium) was overcooked and tough. We paid extra for sauces on the steak but received such a tiny drizzle that you wouldn't have known it was there if you hadn't paid for it. The lack of sauce left the meals very dry. Unfortunately this restaurant used to be a favourite for us to visit, but we won't be returning anytime soon.
Lovely dinner. Good friendly service. Great ambience. The Oysters Kilpatrick were really good, you can buy 1, 6, 9 or 12. My only complaint was my steak was over cooked. Ordered rare and got medium.
This used to be my wife & I's favourite restaurant but when we ordered our usual seafood tier to share it had changed considerably and we were very disappointed.
