Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff, felt like we were in France for a few hours. T R E S B O N ! . .

Nothing pretentious or trying too hard. Just a lovely meal in a lovely space. Nice staff who quietly replenish the bread basket and drop by at the end with a complementary madeleine (cake). Classic. Classy.

Great service and food! We made booking but only had very short time, the waitor was listening to us intentionally and made recommendations so we can taste their yummy food as well as finish the meal within 45mins.

A lovely experience with just the right amount of attentiveness and excellent champagne! I left feeling satisfied and full and will happily return to test some new dishes.

First time dining here. Friendly and polite service but a little disorganised. Finished meal plates stayed on our small table for way too long. Food pleasant but not exceptional. Steak Frites was seasoned with far too much salt that over powered the meal. Wine list ok. 6 small escargots for $22 is overpriced. Food quality did not match the prices charged.

Service was a tad slow, but very attentive. Food was great! Loved the steak frites. Wasn't drinking but wine selection was decent. 3 courses for two was dead on $200. Need to come back to try the other menu options and wine

Food is always amazing! Didn't get full marks as dinner dragged out past 9 pm and service was a bit behind the 8th ball 🎱 I will put it to a very busy night. Staff always greets with a smile.

Massive disappointment, given the potential this place can have. Great location, fit out and ambience. However the food is of disgusting quality and service is absolutely horrendous. Steak tartare was probably the only edible thing that night, the fois gras was fair, but the biggest surprise of the night was the cassoulet. It was unbelievably over salty, missing so many of its traditional ingredients (as opposed to being a rich platter) and again, mediocre quality. Mind you, we waited for over an hour before the cassoulet was served. Would you think the manager cared when we gave him bit of feedback? Not at all.. so much rudeness at this place from the staff. Bistrot Gavroche is the place to go if you fancy spending lots of money for a mediocre experience.

Despite the positive reviews, it was a disappointing experience. Some dishes were great, like the chateaubriand, while others were heavy and tasteless, like the duck confit. The waiter had no idea about the dish and had described it as something else completely. It came out as a potato stew with pieces of duck in it. The service suffered as the restaurant got busy and the host became arrogant when I complained about the duck and the poor service. We will not be back.

Great venue - great food - great place to go. I recently took a work party to Gavroche and they thoroughly enjoyed the experience overall.

Lovely food - quite traditionally French menu but with lots of choice. Authentic decor - you feel that you are in a Parisian Cafe. Good service. We'll be back.

Nice ambience and great service. Awesome restaurant for a date, special occasions or group gatherings. The waiters were so attentive and even arranged a candle for the birthday girl. Great place.

Beautiful food , great atmosphere, excellent wine. What more could one ask for. A perfect place for a nice night out. And it was quiet, no reflected noise.

We have been several times now. The staff are always friendly and attentive. The menu has varied, which is always good and there is usually a wonderful special. A bientot.

Strong French ambience, very good service and outstanding food. Decent wine list. Quite expensive. In an interesting, newly developed and still developing area. Shall come again for special occasion.

Lovely setting (once you find it!) and décor. The service was attentive, but a little awkward at times. The food and wine list were good, but didn't quite live up to the expectations set by the prices.

Great experience overall. The food was tasty & the staff made us feel special. The only negative is finding parking but it was worth it.

It was my Birthday celebration and as we love French food we decided to try Bistro Gavroche. It did not disappoint us. Service was great as was the food excellent, and they made my desert into a Birthday surprise . We will certainly go again. Noelene & Paul hammond
