About Black Cod

A fish and burger bar that’s taking Melbourne by storm, Black Cod offers a fresh new concept to local foodies. The idea came about when a group of fourth-generation fishermen decided that Melbourne was in need of truly fresh seafood and superior burgers, and before you knew it, this Docklands dining establishment was born. Featuring incredible waterfront views and a spacious, modern interior, the restaurant provides a stylish location for dining on their high quality dishes. The menu at Black Cod gets straight to the point and offers an array of burgers, fish and packs which include an assortment of seafood, chips and a salad. Black Cod on Bourke Street is known to stay busy – book your table ahead of time for a tasty meal you won’t soon forget.

Friendly, quick and great meal sizes and options - very accommodating. Ended up arriving 30 minutes early with a group of 12+ and was not a problem. Thank you!

Fish was okay but the chips were poor - a good fish and chip restaurant should have freshly cut chips. Good beer on tap (Fat Yak). Service and location are good.
