A favourite among the Italian aficionados of Sydney’s Liverpool, Blackrose has made a name for itself as the place to go in the area for authentic Italian cuisine since it was established all the way back in 1997, known for its outstanding seafood dishes in particular. Begin with some garlic prawns or chilli octopus before moving on to a rustic pasta, meat or seafood dish or some homemade pizza. We recommend the gnocchi pesto with a creamy pesto sauce, sundried tomato and pine nuts, the barramundi fillet marinated in lemon, herbs and garlic or the That’s Amore pizza topped with mushrooms, ham, olives, feta, bacon, jalapenos and sundried tomatoes. You’ll find Blackrose located on George Street – book a table and head on over.
Hidden gem! Excellent service & recommendations from the wait staff. The figs wrapped in prosciutto with gorgonzola sauce are to die for!!! Convenient location, simple decor but very clean & tidy, nice view through potted foilage to street. Thanks Tony & Roberto...I'll be back ☺️
Amazing as usual! Go the gnocchi. And don't be afraid to ask for something not on the menu. They are always so accommodating for our always large and always rowdy group!
Never had a bad experience here. Food and service is excellent every time. Friendly staff who are always on hand if you need anything. 11/10
