nice food good selection of drinks. schnitzel was crispy and beautifully paired with sides. croquettes were crispy and yummy. borscht (ukranian) was very tasty not too tangy and comforting on a cold winter day. the cabbage rolls were reasonable but not quite to my taste. most of the staff were lovely. got odd vibes from one staff member. table positioning was quite silly and hard to move around

Borsch has been part of the Chapel St scene for a long time now, and with good reason. Great food and a very comprehensive collection of vodka! Shops and restaurants come and go on Chapel St with a high turnover rate, so it's great to see this place managing to stay relevant after all these years...

Stunning Polish food with such a lovely variety of sharing dishes. It was fun to try a new cuisine, cooked with a homey touch. The range of vodkas was impressive, with a comprehensive menu explaining each flavour. The staff explained each dish and offered their suggestions as well. Food was prepared quickly and cocktails were made on recommendation of the bartenders. Sweet atmosphere suitable for couples and small groups, definitely a warm feel to the establishment. Tables and chairs perhaps a bit hard and cold for Melbourne’s winter nights, but nothing to complain about really!

    Important Update:

Quandoo is closing down. This is a planned, phased process and our platform remains available until 30 September 2026.

Had a great night here - very authentic Polish food was on offer here. The service was very good and friendly, and you can see a lot of effort was put into the decor at this venue :)
