A surprise for us the great food and awesome hospitality surpassed that of the many winery restaurants in our home tourist region. Better due to the genuine friendliness of the staff. Order the fish plate to share. That gin soaked salmon....

Just what I truly love in life. Dinner surrounded by local visual artists work, excellent, friendly and honest service. This truly made the whole dinner experience, a night to remember in Strahan. To add, we loved the fresh local produce, the lamb ribs, made my husband jealous indeed.

visit Strahan roughly every 2 weeks for work reasons. The Bushmans is by fat the best place to dine. service is second to none. and the food is always amazing

Food not that great, bad value for money, small portions for the price and the staff not that friendly. A smile on arrival isn't too much to ask I feel. Eat elsewhere.

Food was superb. Decided to have dessert as we were on holiday (and we could!) 🤣 Had to wait quite a while for dessert but the wait was worth it. If you are not in a hurry I would highly recommend Bushman's.

Excellent food. Salmon with beurre blanc sauce was exceptional. We also appreciated chef's effort to accommodate my wife's FODMAP diet needs. Our only criticism - an ordinary wine list. With so much top quality Tassie wine to showcase (and gins and whiskeys) it would add an extra dimension to the restaurant if something was done.

Mains were delicious.The Italian donoughts were average - bland and over cooked on one side.

Food, service all excellent. The best bit is the Apprentice is listed by name (big tick). Well done! The other best bit is that the plates were properly hot. (Even the best food is spoiled when served on a cold plate!)

Booked a table days in advance. Arrived on time, and left after being ignored for 10 minutes in a small restaurant that had max 8 tables. For a small very regional town in Tassie I don't mind if the prices ($28.50 for an entree size fried squod, for example) are on the high side if it is backed up by even adequate service. Maybe we hit a bad night. The pub food 25m away was great. No contest.

The food and service is amazing. Great for families too.
