About Cafe Bar Mile
Melbourne is known as being the epicentre in Australia for coffee, cafes and pretty much anything cool. It’s also known for its hidden laneways that are adorned with secret bars, restaurants and cafes surrounded by street art and visited by foodies in the know. Cafe Bar Mile combines all these elements, and, located in Flinders Lane – the most famous laneway in Melbourne CBD – has the location spot-on as well. Serving up delicious cafe-style fare and coffee that will delight, this Melbourne brunch favourite has got it all. Book in advance though, as it does tend to fill up quickly.

As soon as you take a step inside Melbourne hotspot, Cafe Bar Mile, you just know it’s going to be one of those classic Melbourne cafe experiences. Featuring chic interior elements like wire hanging lights and wooden tables inspired by nature, Cafe Bar Mile is one of Melbourne CBD’s best spots for delicious food and even better coffee. Located in the heart of this vibrant city in Flinders Lane, the menu is creative and enticing, making it the ideal spot for a long brunch or working lunch, or even just for a coffee and cake to keep you going throughout the day.
We recommend starting off with coffee of course, before going for either the buttermilk pancake stack with berry compote, maple syrup, vanilla cream and meringue, the chickpea fritters topped with mushrooms, fried egg and salsa verde or the pulled pork benedict with all the trimmings and housemade hollandaise for breakfast or brunch. For later, we love the calamari salad with Asian slaw and coriander aioli, or the prawn linguini with garlic prawns, cherry tomato and shaved fennel in a saffron broth – perfect when washed down with a glass of white wine. Whatever your choice, Cafe Bar Mile is an excellent choice for anytime of day. You’ll find them on the corner of Flinders Lane and Bligh Place in the Melbourne CBD. Bookings are essential.
Lots of options on their menu. The staff are friendly and very attentive. The food is always delicious and the wine goes down very well too!
