A North Perth favourite for superb modern asian cuisine, Chilli Orange is everything that’s great about picking the boldest and best ingredients and matching them expertly in the same rice bowl. Chef Anthony Truong draws on years of culinary globetrotting to make this modern restaurant a surefire destination for curious foodies city-wide. Located in the retail complex on Angrove Street, just up from the intersection with Fitzgerald Street, Chilli Orange is easy to get to – and hard to leave.
Here at North Perth’s Chilli Orange, the menu is bristling with colourful modern Asian, Australian, and international foods Bet with confidence on the chef’s recommendations (the seared duck breast and scallops with grilled eggplant and Asian salad or the grilled swordfish), but be sure to begin with entrees like seared rare beef, fresh oysters, free-range Linley Valley pork belly matched with kimchi and more. This is a the perfect Perth Modern Asian restaurant to take a trip with.
Chilli Orange’s innovative dishes, courtesy of the exploratory modern Asian chops of head chef Anthony Truong, have been attracting the attention of Perth-based food critics and foodies in general. A main course of grilled MSA beef tenderloin steak, served with seared scallops, tempura mushrooms and a teriyaki and truffle oil sauce, or the free-range chicken breast comes stuffed with Asian mushrooms and lap cheong, are fantastic choices. Easy to reach from Fitzgerald Street and North Perth’s Angrove Street, Chilli Orange is one popular restaurant that you definitely need to reserve in advance!
A friend suggested we try Chilli Orange for a girls night out and we erreReally nice good and great atmosphere. Friendly staff too. Had a great time. Easy parking nearby
Food was fabulous. Really tasty. Lava cake dessert was amazing as were the tempura prawns. . The wait staff were attentive but not intrusive. A great evening.
The staff were all very lovely & service was great. The food was perfect our favourite dish was the pad thai , the restaurant had a very nice ambiance, highly recommend and we would definitely return.
Amazing food and friendly service. Perfect for date nights without kids and groups. Duck pancakes, salmon sashimi salad are a must as well as the beef tenderloin salad.
Chilli Orange is AHmazing! Service was spectacular, as soon as we walked through the door we were greeted by a lovely staff member who showed us to our table. The table and deco were very modern. Their menu was brilliant, everything sounded delicious and I wanted to try one of everything. But for entree I got the scallops served on top of mushrooms and they melter in my mouth, divine! Main meal I had the salmon with corn and I didn't want this dish to end. My salmon was cooked to perfection and the sauce that accompanied it was do die for. Didn't have dessert but next time I'm in, I will. 10/10 chilli orange.
This was my first visit to Chilli Orange. There is much to like - my pad thai was delicious, as was my mojito. The staff are friendly and super helpful and it's a nicely presented restaurant. There is just a little something missing - like being greeted at the door right on top of other diners, our food arriving before our first drink and what feels like being in everyone's way when you are seated in the middle aisle of tables. However all the other meals I saw going out looked delicious, it's a great stop-off before a gig at The Rosemount and the staff seem to genuinely care about your experience.
We have been once before with friend and we were all upset with the menu as there was too much fabulous choice ..We love it when there are multiple dishes you want to try and have to choose one .so we came back to introduce other friends to Chilli Orange ..Oh dear same problem ,therefore we will have to return and work our way through the menu The ambience was great
The service and wine was wonderful! So unfortunate that on this occasion Western Power let them down on their busiest night of the week! The entire suburb's power went out, so we didn't manage to eat there - this time. They were so kind an apologetic for something they had no control over. They even provided a few snacks from the kitchen to tide us over at no charge (delicious I might add). We will definitely be back there very soon. We were coming back for our third visit anyway as we love the food and the people so much. (Best Creme Brulee ever!)
This is our second visit to Chilli Orange and it was just as good as the first time. The food and service are excellent. Chilli Orange is beginning to be our new 'favourite' restaurant.
My husband and I went here last Saturday night for our Wedding Anniversary. Service at the start was a bit slow and that is the only negative thing I could say. We started with a couple of glasses of bubbles, then had the duck pancakes and san choy bow both were delicious. Then, being hearty eaters we ordered 3 mains...seared duck breast, stir fry wok veges with tofu and the pan dried teriyaki salmon, all were delicious. Nothing was soaking in sauces, just the right amount. Had a lovely and reasonably (for a licenced premise) bottle of Jane Brook wine over dinner as well. Highly recommend and will definitely go back.
