Lovely lunchtime options, Great value and great food in a beautiful place
Great variety of delicious Indian food to choose from with very attentive friendly staff. My husband and I always enjoy eating here.
Legit some of the best Indian food I have ever had!! The Thali plate was amazing, flavour central, the desert was amazing, the cocktails were awesome, the service was friendly and hospitable, food came out super quick but not too quick, really nice atmosphere and the wall murals are beautiful, in fact the whole decor was beautiful. Will be back with friends!!
The overall experience from the moment we alter in to the moment we left was absolutely amazing! The best Indian food I have eaten and would have no hesitation in going back there!
Cinnamon Club, Norwood Parade ... first visit, 6:30pm on a Saturday ... excellent food and presentation, nicely furbished and decorated surroundings, plenty of friendly and attentive staff ... evidently a very popular place given how quickly the tables filled, plus a busy trade being done in take-away orders. Only let down for us (a couple), but a significant one, is that the place was so very busy and noisy - the noise level was greatly exacerbated by the unnecessarily (very) loud pop music playing in the background ... music was both way too loud and not at all consistent with the India themed surroundings and food. This restaurant perhaps better suited to groups of people? Anyway, unlikely to return here due to the aforementioned issues, however we loved the extensive menu, so will likely try one of the other Cinnamon Clubs in future.
I have formally reviewed The Cinnamon Club on the cultural review website, The Barefoot Review -http://thebarefootreview.com.au I return to the restaurant whenever I can because it provides a joy of thrilling spice experiences. To this end, I have taken to ordering the banquet which offers many small serves of a vast array of the menu choices. They will make it mild, medium or hot, according to diner preference. I like it hot and am not disappointed. There are classic dishes and exotic gourmet specials, all prepared with finesse. I still swoon for the flavour of the beetroot vindaloo although the beef was a bit tough last time. Service is swift and attentive. The waitresses are elegant, well-informed and have the slightly haughty air of one who is devoted to keeping the standards high. Which they do. I shall keep returning.
From the moment we arrived to the moment we departed we were treated with kindness and humbleness with service of greatest respect and fulfillment, everything we wanted and more we were given exceptional treatment and felt this is one fantastic place to be, we had the banquet for two, but it could easily be for four , the amount of food was amazing and service was unbelievable. Will recommend this is the Indian restaurant you need to visit and you will not be disappointed......
Had a splendid birthday dinner last night at Cinnamon Club with my dear friend from Sydney. Had old favourites, roasted cauliflower, and potatoes; Tandoori lamb chops; saffron rice. Started with beautifully light Samosas. Complimented by Barossa Shiraz. Could not be bettered.
A group of 3 - we were sat in a corner and chairs were different to other chairs in the restaurant (we felt like we had been seated at the 'kiddies' table). The table itself was not large enough for the food and we had to be very careful how we placed the share bowls and our drinks. I even asked if we could be moved but this was refused. When the table near me became full I then had the person sitting behind me pushing their chair back into me - I couldn't have moved any closer to our small table. Food was okay. Desserts were a joke. My group was three professional women who felt treated less than. Using the toilet facilities was certainly an experience - chairs were being stored in the toilet that I used! Don't see us returning to dine in again - may be more suitable to takeaway.
We were a party of 6 & went on a Sunday night for a family dinner. We loved the entree (samosa chaat) & were very happy with the rest of the dishes, although we felt we had to wait a bit long btwn the entree & mains. The serving sizes were good & we wld return. Thanks to the staff who courteously let my mum out the side door so she didn't hv to walk all the way around to where we had parked the car.
