Coconut Estate Eatery in North Adelaide is one of our favourite spots in town for quality breakfast and brunch. Right on O’Connell Street, the food is pretty glam and best described as contemporary Australian with a Sri Lankan twist. You can keep it simple with classic eggs on toast, some buttermilk pancakes with bacon or a brekkie board for two, or keep things healthy with vibrant bowls or, our own favourite, the coconut milk braised jackfruit burger. There’s plenty more besides, and Coconut Estate Eatery is more than suitable for everyone, whether vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free. Reservations are essential at this North Adelaide gem.

It was very busy for a Sunday morning and service was very slow. We had to constantly flag down the waiter to get menus, to make orders etc. The breakfast board was definitely filling for 2 people, though the muesli was a bit dry. Not sure if I’ll order the espresso smoothie again but I wouldn’t mind coming back to try other things on the menu.
