More about Comuna Cantina - Pacific Fair, Broadbeach

After making waves over in Brisbane CBD, Comuna Cantina are now bringing their Latin American vibes to the Gold Coast’s Broadbeach, serving up street food favourites with a focus on being healthy and nutritious, as well as so colorful that you won’t want to tuck in before they’ve been Instagrammed. And it's not only the food that will have you reaching for your camera, the interior design has been carefully thought out with pretty pastels, minimalist furniture and neon signage – a cliche cantina this is not. Bringing together the best dishes from around Latin America, the menu at Comuna Cantina features everything from breakfasts to smalls snacks and larger mains. Start your day off with a Latin American-inspired acai bowl paired with a pastel pink rosehip and hibiscus latte, or go all out at lunch or dinner time with some street food.

Some of our favourite dishes include the picanha churrasco (a Brazilian barbeque dish with chargrilled steak, quinoa, black beans, fried banana and chimichurri), the arepas (a Colombian/Venezuelan taco pocket with a range of fillings like pulled pork) and the fish burger (chia and coconut crumbed fish with guacamole, salsa and Mexican slaw). Also be sure to try Comuna Cantina’s famous plantain chips, too. Located inside the Pacific Fair shopping centre on Hookers Boulevard, Comuna Cantina is equally as popular for lunch as it is for dinner and cocktails in the evening. For a stylish South American experience in Gold Coast's Broadbeach, book a table now!

A very different place to the ‘usual’ for dinner and drinks. The menu was fantastic, allowing my friend and I to enjoy some share platters between us along with a few very unique cocktails. We will definitely be back... perhaps on a Friday night or Sunday afternoon, where we are thinking the atmosphere might be a little more lively (particularly with the salsa dancing on a Sunday!).
