The food was great. The atmosphere was fun and cheerful. There were a lot of big groups of people, great for a team lunch especially on Taco Tuesdays

Had the fish, chicken and beef ribs. Would get the fish and ribs again. Speed they came out varied greatly. Would go back again for taco Tuesday - bargain!

Frustrating that the tacos come out in whatever order the kitchen wants, as a vegetarian it meant my friend received all of hers and my tacos came 15 minutes later. Need to improve the ordering system

1hour setting time was a bit short and ‘rude’ when our second order after 40mins was getting rejected. I was attending lunch with clients. Food was great Location is great Apart from the rejection for 2nd order .. staff are good.

First time went to Contrabando. There were seven of us and we chose a set menu which was great value. We will definitely go again.

Enjoyable and relaxed eating experience. From the first margarita to the 4th (?) my friends and I were spoilt by Laurel/Lauren who made navigating the menu a breeze. Gracias

Great $3 Taco Tuesday deal. All the tacos were flavourful, with quality ingredients. The service was great, with very attentive waitresses! Will come back soon.

The tacos and quesadillas were really yummy! Good service even though it was busy on a Tuesday night. We would definitely come back again soon!!

The restaurant made a fuss that we we had not booked from the Groupon site. We could not do that as we were not sure of the date when buying the ticket. I think there is no savings in value to buy the voucher. Lots of conditions with the Groupon voucher needs to be published. Food was good but could order 2 kinds only at a time, does not suit a group that does not eat pork, beef etc.

Everything great but you left me a taco short! When I asked the waitress she didn’t worked from your system validation rather than the fact is was left short. All in all a nice meal but come on

Very popular and busy. Went with Mum, the tables were too close and her chair was always hit by waitress passing by.

This venue is great. The tacos are delicious, the staff are friendly and attentive. It is an overall enjoyable experience. We have been there many times and will continue to go. Highly recommend.

Food is amazing, but service falls short in attention to the customer. You have to wait long before someone notices you calling for the waitress.

Great restaurant, cant get past their taco Tuesday. Nice and refurbished since the last time I went. Would recommend the fish and pulled pork tacos

Great food, terrific service and a fabulous price. Nice buzz for a very busy restaurant. I suggest making a booking every time - there was a table of 14 next to our table.

Great cheap easy delicious tacos on Tuesday night. It seems as though they want to get you in and out but overall the service was alright.

Always like going to Contrabando for reasonably priced food that is fresh and tasty. Tacos are the highlight and the main reason for heading there.

Such quick service and the waitresses were very efficient, great idea having weeknight specials. The wine wasn't very enjoyable however the pork tacos definitely made up for that.

Went on a Tuesday and the place was packed. We had an extra person than what had been booked it was easily accommodated for. Would have been great if the service was a little bit faster but considering the crowd, it was understandable.

Food was nice, but the service is not the best. We had to wait for more than 15 min to get the attention of the waiter. And unfortunately, they are not the friendliest... But as I said before the Tacos are very good!

Amazing food (particularly the beef tacos), great selection of drinks and really good atmosphere in the venue. Would definitely recommend and will be going back in future.

Food was delicious :) but service was slow :( I had two of the Crispy Fish and I tried the Crisp Pumpkin, both were fantastic!

Food was good, long wait for some of our order, had to ask twice about it, when we did get it was incorrect and we were still charged for it.

Great flavoured food. Relaxed environment. Good value lunch special. Easy place to stop in for a quick lunch or a business catch up. Will be back.

Tacos Tuesday ($3 tacos) is good value. The fish taco was my favourite. Beef and lamb tacos were also good. I will definitely go back again.

Came for Taco Tuesday and margaritas after work. We had the corn and fish and chicken tacos which were delicious! Staff were attentive and courteous.

Tacos are spectacular here and great value when getting 4 tacos for $20. The fish tacos were especially delicious. Add a margarita to the mix and you have a great way to spend your Friday lunch with work colleagues!

Contrabando had great food in particular the fish and beef tapas. Service was very helpful and attentive. Easy to have a meal in an hour so we will definitely be back!

Service was abrupt. Margarita’s were watered down. Food came at separate times and the excuse was that they throught we were sharing although we never stated that. Also bathrooms were very unclean. Similar to a public bathroom. Overall would not go back.
