Stylish dining and modern Italian cuisine merge to provide an out-of-this-world experience at Melbourne's Cosi Bar Ristorante on Toorak Road. As one of South Yarra’s most trusted Italian restaurants, this chic establishment has earned a reputation for excellence that goes far beyond great food and service – the crew’s passion for innovative Italian cuisine is what keeps it going strong, and is what brings diners back again and again.
At Melbourne’s Cosi Bar Ristorante, you’ll be greeted with friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere each and every time you visit, whether it’s for lunch, dinner or in-between. Open seven days a week, this local Italian restaurant on South Yarra’s Toorak Road features an elegant environment that’s perfect for special occasions, a romantic dinner or even private functions – the restaurant can host up to twenty guests and up to thirty in the courtyard, so simply enquire within to set up an unforgettable bash.
Located just moments from Fawkner Park, Cosi Bar Ristorante is a standout when it comes to upscale Italian dining in South Yarra. Entrees such as the warm chicken terrine with Jerusalem artichoke and black garlic and the seared scallops with panko crumbed pork belly are ideal for starting off your dinner on the right foot, and antipasti like the house-made salumi and prosciutto with grissini and melon are perfect for sharing with tablemates before dining on mains ike saffron spaghetti with seafood and green pea risotto with goats curd, tendril salad and pistachio crumble. Favourites here include the duck breast and leg with parsnip puree, baby carrots and puffed grains, as well as the Western Plains pork belly served with baby turnips and apple vanilla puree. For dessert, we highly recommend the vanilla cheesecake with blueberries, citrus jam and honeycomb, or the cheese platter featuring local and imported varieties. Don’t let yourself be disappointed – reserve in advance!
Cosi has been our top for italian for years now. Always Thoughtful menu choices and great specials. Also the ambience in summer with the courtyard and is great and now it's super cozy in winter with the gas log fire.
Excellent Italian/modern Australian food. Spatchcock beautifully tasty dish, as was the ox cheek and fish. All accompanied with their excellent Cigliani Chianti classico. Not cheap but certainly well worth the cost.
The food was incredibly fresh and delicious and the service was nothing short of hospitable and attentive. Will definitely be coming back to this gorgeous restaurant
