“Service was welcoming and professional … interesting, well-made, fair-priced French dishes that any modern bistro in France would be proud of”
– Guy Diamond, Time OutBringing all the charm of the French brasserie to the UK, Côte Brasserie is a group of all-day dining restaurants. Aptly located on Montpellier Terrace, across from Montpellier Gardens, Côte Brasserie’s Cheltenham restaurant is the place to go enjoy classic French cuisine in a sophisticated yet relaxed setting. Whether it's for breakfast, a leisurely lunch after wandering around the nearby shopping boutiques, or for a special evening meal, the menu at Côte Brasserie in Montpellier has plenty of options to suit all occasions. To guarantee a table at Côte Brasserie, making a reservation ahead of time is advised.
Breakfast is a big deal at Cheltenham’s Côte Brasserie, with everything on the menu from freshly-baked croissants to smoked salmon with scrambled eggs and croque monsieur/madame. Later on in the day, just some of the options that might tickle your fancy include light mains like the spinach and mushroom crepes, larger dishes like the fish parmentier and cassoulet de Toulouse (traditional Tarbais bean stew with confit duck wing, smoked Toulouse sausage and bacon lardons, topped with melted garlic butter and sourdough croutons), as well as mouthwatering steaks and chargrilled Breton chicken – Brittany being a French region renowned for its poultry.
Of course, as you would expect from a French restaurant, the selection of desserts is nothing short of dreamy, so be sure to leave room for the tarte au citron (traditional lemon tart with Normandy crème fraîche and raspberries), or the chocolate and praline crepe with caramelised bananas and crème chantilly. Located on Montpellier Terrace, just across from Montpellier Gardens and close to the charming boutiques that Cheltenham’s Montpellier area is known for, Côte Brasserie is a popular choice, thus booking a table in advance is recommended.
Extreamly good food and variety to choose from, very good service, staff are very hospitable and friendly, deffinatly a good place to spend the evening.
arrived one hour early but this was no problem the staff found us a nice window seat the food as always was of a good standard and fair price
Not been for a few months but this place is better than ever. It was full and buzzing because of the Literature Festival but service could not be faulted. We really liked the prestige set menu which is still amazing value. As usual a special thanks to the black shirts who run up and down two flights with the food. Guys you are brilliant.
