Dish: Sri Lankan Street Food

Authentic Sri Lankan food, with a lot of attention to quality.

The staff try hard as always and food was great, however the food did take a while to come out and I had to ask for some dishes which were omitted. the restaurant was quite smoky, and we had to ask them to turn exhaust fans on.

Pathetic, had a confirmed reservation for indoor seating and then when we arrived they tried to seat us including an elderly woman outside in the cold. Second time they have not held a booking correctly. Not good enough.

Great restaurant with open kitchen, the fragrance from the cooking enhances the dining experience. The Fish Rolls as started was recommended by the waitress and it was delicious, the Hopper was huge and exceeded our expectations. Finishing with the Masala Tea was just perfect.

It was the first time my husband and I have eaten Sri Laken food and been to your restaurant. It was a perfect Sunday night for Autumn evening weather. We were outside. The waitresses were very polite and informative and treated us with respect. Food was good on the whole. I loved the milky drink with jelly (excellent). My mains dish was interesting and very well cooked, especially the goat, and the spinach. My only complaint was that there was not enough goat meat and too much bone. I loved the meat. My husband really enjoyed his main dish. So, yes we will return, butg not sure when at this stage.

Just a great local restaurant. We were a group of 5 so we got to try a few dishes. Highlight is always the goat curry. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

Food is delicious and wonderful service. Highly recommend. We’ll be back.

All meals came at separate times. The first main meal was finished before last guest's arrived.

The staff were not very organised. 3 out of 5 got stomach issues the next day.

Hi Great aromas coming from the kitchen. Food was delicious when it eventually arrived. Disappointed with the service as not sure if new staff that weren't trained and lacked English skills as the service was very slow and very chaotic. I've dined before had a more pleasant experience.

Lovely cuisine and a relaxed vibe in a neighbourhood setting

Food was really good, but poorly organised with rice coming quite a while after the main dishes and dessert not coming at all (we ordered the banquet). But still a good night and I would still recommend (we didn’t have to pay for the desserts we didn’t receive).

We arrived early and they were able to accommodate us , food was delivered promptly , good portion size , tasty meals maybe a little too much salt but otherwise very tasty and with a myriad of flavours competing for attention. Price of our meal was reasonable and no complaints, it’s not our first visit and certainly won’t be our last despite the fact we live over an hour away .

Our party of four made a first visit to Dish last night, we arrived at 6pm as we like to eat early so we were the first there. The owner helped us with ordering as we were not familiar with most of the dishes on the menu and asked for meals that were not too spicy and shareable. Every dish that was delivered to the table was fantastic, large servings of very tasty food which which we all liked. Cant say I remember the names of the dishes but we will be going back again soon. BTW, by 7pm the restaurant was full so probably a good idea to book to ensure a table. A true dining experience!

Loved the food. Was a little worried that the children’s boiled rice and plain nan came out later than everyone elses meal. They were really hungry so, started hunting around the restaurant. Otherwise, great night out!!

Poor quality food. Exceptionally poor quality food. And some of the food we ordered just never showed up. Stay away!

Loved the hoppers and curries. The wattalappam was also good but we didn’t see the necessity of chocolate powder sprinkled on top.

Really tasty food, lots of different flavours and well prepared. Friendly service too.

It’s a small space in the front of the restaurant and it was very crowded - make sure you book! We had the plain hoppers with chicken curry dipping sauce, the fish curry and the beef mustard curry with basmati rice. It was all delicious and service was great. I’ll be back.

The seating is too cramped. Food was good.will do take away next time

overpriced, rushed service, no style, food just plonked on the table. We were rushed out because table was booked.

We were having a lovely time, then a large table came into the small dining room we were in and we could no longer hear each other talk! But the food was super delicious as usual

The service was very slow and disorganised. Will not go there again
