About Dos Senoritas - Crows Nest

With several popular venues around Sydney, the authentic, Guadalajara-style Mexican food of Dos Senoritas is no secret among those in the know. That’s particularly true of their Crows Nest outlet, which is right in the heart of the restaurant and bar throng around Willoughby Road and Falcon Street. Its location alone would make Dos Senoritas busy (advance bookings are strongly advised, by the way), but so too would the delicious spread of properly done Mexican fare, from taquitos to churros, tamales to tequila slammers!

Further Information

Sydney’s Mexican scene is crowded. There are new-age hipster joints that prioritise decor and marketing. There are old-school hangovers from the days when serving avocado was enough to be exotic. And there are American Tex-Mex places where a sloppy burrito is judged by size rather than taste. Dos Senoritas help you filter through all those to the real deal. This Falcon Street favourite relies on traditional Mexican recipes (and some specialist spices brought in from across the Pacific) and quality Australian ingredients to offer up something unique in Crows Nest.

The two towering giants of Mexican food in Sydney of course make an appearance at Dos Senoritas – though their tacos are more like what you’ll find in Mexico and the range of burritos is much more creative than any other Mexican joint in Crows Nest (the aptly named Supercheeseygooeychimichanga should speak for itself). You’ll also unearth rarer gems here on Falcon Street like a secret-recipe pork crock pot, fresh seafood enchiladas and an awesome house specialty of chicken breast cooked in mole oaxaca (dark chocolate sauce). Dos Senoritas have a great range of Mexican beers and refreshing cocktails, and remember to leave room for churros!

Best Mexican I've had in Sydney! Such amazing value, $25 (ish) for a main and it is HUGE! I will come back again many times over

The Gladesville restaurant has moved into new premises and it's a big improvement with modern and spacious interior. Burritos are too large - made the mistake of not ordering enchiladas instead.

The food was good, massive portions though. We booked a table for 5 people and a pram and they had a table upstairs for us, fortunately it wasn't too busy and we were able to sit down stairs

Excellent! (but nothing gets 100%) food was good as was the service. Getting there was easy and at the time we went there was ample parking across the road

Service was a bit off tonight - it gets very noisy too. There was an awful grease trap smell in the restaurant. Food was good but too big a portion. Too much waste....

Fun night with great food and great service. Servings are huge so we were able to share. Would thoroughly recommend this place for authentic Mexican.

Portion sizes were rather large. Would've been nice if the air was cooler, esp. when eating spicy food. The staff were very friendly and a good time was had :)

It's was recommended by a friend who had heard good things... drinks were good, food was average, the place needs a makeover, there was a smell of leaking stale water near the bar which really was not good...

Portion sizes including the Margarita's were huge. Definitely value for money. Food tasted good. Authentic Mexican, lots of mile sauce on things. Atmosphere could be worked on.

The cocktails didn't taste like they had any alcohol and had to be remade (still not very good), the food came out extremely fast so it was hard to enjoy a relaxing (long) dinner plus the shredded beef was quite dry. It was disappointing because the Gladesville restaurant is so good.

Underwhelming - a very disappointing experience. The food was average - good portion sizes and arrived quickly however it was not great. The service was terrible - very slow. All in all, not a great experience.

Margaritas too salty to drink. Service reasonably good. Food OK but a little stodgy even for Mexican. Tortillas are massively disappointing though - slightly plastic tasting, I'd rather have old El Paso.

My enjoyment of the delicious food was diminished by - the loudness of the music that made it very hard to hear other dinner guests the incredibly uncomfortable wooden seat with depressions to sit in the friendly but not very adept waiting staff
