Diners at this prominent Italian restaurant in Adelaide’s city centre sometimes have to pinch themselves and remember that the street out there is North Terrace and not the Via del Corso. Eating In Italy is all about the experience – long and lazy breakfasts and lunches throughout the week and over the weekend, sumptuous Friday night dinners best undertaken together with a large group of similarly minded foodies, or simply a coffee and something sweet to tide you over. Indeed, it’s the express and simpler pleasures offered by the cafe arm of Eating In Italy that many in Adelaide’s CBD enjoy the most, but come Friday night it’s the authentic pasta, scaloppine, pollo and calamari dishes that really shine. Reservations at peak times are essential.
I was looking for a quick bite before the footy. I found it not too busy with good food and reasonable service. Worth checking out.
Beautiful Salmon Brushetta, good choice of wines, followed by a great coffee and Rhum Baba, staff very friendly and efficient. We shall return, next time we are in the city.
the food was tasty but did not all come out at once. one of our party of 6 was served about 5 minutes before everyone else.
