Incredibly authentic, unforgettably flavourful and beautifully plated, the Chinese cuisine on offer at Sydney’s Fat Buddha is some of the best available in the city. A keen eye for detail and a friendly yet stylish atmosphere, complete with a highly-trained staff and chic oriental decor makes this restaurant a standout on George Street, and its location within the beautiful Queen Victoria Building in the central business district only adds to its high-end status.
great food, great service and easy to find. We will definitely go back for another meal and take friends and family with us !! !
Absolutely TERRIBLE service. Was ignored for 40 minutes. Requested service multiple times but no one came to our table. Will not return to this restuarant. Very dissapointed by my experience.
Friendly conveniently located chinese restaurant. The owner is very accommodating and pleasant to deal with. This was the second time we have been there and we enjoyed it again!
Fat Buddha is an upscale Chinese restaurant located inside of Sydney’s historic Queen Victoria Building on George Street, amid the hubbub of the city’s central business district. Focusing especially on upscale Cantonese cuisine, the restaurant offers a wide array of options, including banquet menus, a la carte items, soups, starters, mains and desserts. The team is committed to only using the freshest ingredients and local, sustainable produce whenever possible, and you can taste this quality in every delicious morsel.
We recommend starting off with one of Fat Buddha’s amazing soups, such as a steamy bowl of seafood bean curd soup, vegetarian hot and sour soup or a classic wonton soup. Enjoy classic Chinese dishes like sliced beef sauteed in black bean sauce, Peking-style baked spare pork ribs or crispy boneless lemon chicken. Vegetarians, have no fear – Fat Buddha offers excellent veggie options like deep fried salt and pepper chilli tofu, stir fried long beans and fresh mushrooms with baby bok choy.
