My wife ordered fillet steak with mushroom sauce and I ordered duck with rocket salad and mash for our mains. The fillet steak was generous in size and cooked really well and tasted terrific. The duck serving was generous but was overdone(not pink) cold and dry to eat and the skin had not been rendered properly. I didn't order a replacement meal because my wife had completed eating her meal before the restaurant picked up on the problem with the duck. The restaurant apologised and naturally didn't charge me for the duck. Our desert was the sticky date pudding which was great.

Visited for our 10th wedding anniversary and had a wonderful dinner. From the first moment we walked in the door the service was great, the staff very friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious. We started with Potato and Leek soup and the Balsamic Bread platter. Both of us ordered the Eye Fillet with the Highlander sauce, which was cooked to perfection. Being a dessert fan, I had trouble choosing but went with the Lemon Delicious pudding with Citrus Custard which finished off the meal nicely. Overall a fantastic place for an intimate dinner or special occasion. The atmosphere was great, added to by the open fire on a cold rainy night. We will definitely be back.

My husband's meal was great , loved the wine, service was pretty good but my meal was not what I thought it was meant to be. Supposed to be Honey And Chilli Calamari but overloaded with honey. I would give the restaurant another go

Booked for 2 - wedding anniversary. Being a Tuesday night and a "relatively" expensive place (entrees about $25 and mains about $42) I thought we might be the only one there, but there were several other couples and groups which may be indicative of how good this place is. We ordered 2 entrees to share - Pork Belly which was great and seared scallops that were the best I have ever had. Portion sizes were generous. We also ordered 2 mains - lamb backstrap and eye fillet beef. Both meats were melt in your mouth tender and well cooked. Finished with shared desert - lemon delicious pudding that was also delicious, light and great finish to our meal. Service was also very good so overall was a great night and wouldn't hesitate to come back.
