Never opened!! Nowhere did I get notifications of this. 😫
Lovely time and meal. Good friendly and quick service. Great location. Good selection of various meats. Doggy bag take away great. Loved it. Thank you.
Food was very average...OK. I ordered the Big German hotdog expecting a traditional german sausage and was disappointed when i received a normal hotdog saugage, tasted Ok but i could have gone to a fish and chips shop in adelaide and ordered that...Salt and pepper squid looked like the frozen ones you buy and they just cooked them and the chips were over cooked and Service is good but would I return????
It looks like a simple café from the outside but the food is restaurant quality, simple food done well. Highly recommend this establishment the staff were friendly and accommodating and the food was outstanding. Will definitely be returning soon.
The food was absolutely delicious !! Staff were very nice. Should have on their page about what can be use with entertainment vouchers. Example nothing on special board. Otherwise I would go back their.
Lovely food and lovely service.!ataff were accommodating ams friendly - food was absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend to anyone. End end end end end end
Quick service. Food tasted good but plates were cold so veggie sides were not cold/lukewarm. unlike other German restaurants in Hahdorf, beer and wine selection is predominantly local.
Booking process failed - but we were accommodated with no fuss
Hahndorf has a lot to offer with great food, but German Spoon has a problem with space, notably proximity to other diners that made our meal an experience we wanted to cut short. Won't be returning.
We were a party of six, trying out a new German restaurant in Hahndorf, or so we thought. The service was prompt and courtious, and the French champagne was delicious. However, there were too few authentic German menu choices for the restaurant to be called German Spoon. Die potato and leek soup was extremely watery, the pork sausage was ok, but my curry wursts were disappointing. They had no authentic curry and tomtatoe sauce , and a very small amount of blaukraut and mash. The birthday girl chose beef schnitzel which had too much crumbing which was very fatty, a small amount of fatty chips which grew cold quickly. The two vegan friends had too few choices and, as already stated, the soup was really watered down. The bread was too thinly sliced . All in all, we missed the feel of German hospitality which is generous in food portions overall, not just in meat. We would probably not come back for a German meal.
Friendly and polite staff, service was a bit slow as we were outside and out of sight. Food was good. Be careful with Entertainment book some items are Not covered.. ask first.
Excellent food. The staff were very obliging and friendly.Assistance with menu selection and explanation of dishes was helpful and much appreciated..We will happily dine there again.
German Spoon was a great experience! The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We were sat undercover outside under lovely warm heaters, while it rained outside. It was a perfect (wintery) afternoon there! Highly recommend
We booked and dined there on a Sunday. Chose a table outside. Staff were friendly and attentive. Meals were very nice. Would dine there again.
Great food great service. Enjoyed the share platter was great value and a generous serve. The 9 beans were a great vegetarian option. Worth the drive to Handorf.
