Good service, the wait staff were very pleasant and helpful. The cocktails were the standout. The ginger and lychee cocktail was so delicious I could have drunk it all night. Food was tasty but perhaps not best Chinese I’ve ever had. But for the price and atmosphere we enjoyed the whole experience.
The dumplings were delicious (especially the prawn and asparagus!) but the cocktails were a bit disappointing. The staff were very friendly and helpful - even told us when we'd ordered too much food!
We were pleasantly surprised that the front space was quite elegant & romantic for our date night, and a final cocktail at the bar chatting with the owner was fun. Food is amazing & we have already booked via the website for our next visit with friends. Highly recommended
Overall a really lovely dinner out and a great addition to Darlinghurst - the food was interesting and there were things we'd never seen before on a Chinese menu in Sydney. The pork knuckle in particular was a real highlight - we'll definitely be back!
We really enjoyed the selection of dumplings especially the sea urchin one. Delicious! The ambiance was nice and relaxed, perfect for dinner after a long day at work. The staff were attentive and overall we had a pleasant dinner.
Such a wonderful twist on Chinese fusion cuisine. My favorite dish was the salt and pepper squid. It was fresh, crunchy and tasty. Though their pineapple sweet and sour pork have set my heart on fire. The ping pong cocktail was also another must try. It was such a refreshing drink. Love all the foods and drinks we ordered. Its such a bonus they open until late too! Thanks ginkgo for the amazing dining experience.
