Gyoza famously moved from Chinese cuisine into Japan and became a national favourite, and locals of central Brisbane must be happy that these delicious dumplings then moved from Japan to Fortitude Valley through Gyoza Bar Ann. Of course gyoza – tasty, lightly fried dumplings with various mixtures served with Ann’s secret-recipe sauce – are the stars here on Ann Street. But this cool, dimly-lit eatery can act as a funky bar where you can enjoy an amazing range of Japanese sake, creative cocktails, craft beers and an impressive range of tapas, influenced by both the Japanese izakaya style and international flavours. Gyoza Bar Ann is also open seven days a week for lunch, when the Gyoza and tower lunch boxes, good value rice bowls and finger-lickin-good karaage chicken are all popular with inner-city workers.
The staff were so hospitable and the food was great! Very well priced especially with the two for one gyoza Mondays! Would definitely go again.
Nice and quiet, just next to the Emporium Hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful. Foods, particularly Gyoza (dumplings), are good. I will definitely come again.
Great service with Excellent food! Food was served quickly and the use of ipad ordering made you feel like you were in Japan again. Highly recommended
