Run by a father-and-son team, Gyros Fix on Queens Road knows how to make a serious meat sandwich. But that’s not all the restaurant does right – the atmosphere is cosy and the service is amicable. With an atmosphere that’s relaxed and comfortable, there’s no need to fret about what you’ll be planning to wear at this Greek hotspot. The blue paintjob on the outside beckons in locals in the Five Dock area and the place tends to pack in a large crowd, so make sure to book ahead to avoid the rush!

You eat at Sydney’s Gyros Fix once, and there’s no going back to normal life. For first timers, we recommend going for the lamb gyro wrapped in warm pita bread and topped with tomato, onion, tzatziki, special sauce and chips. Have a serious gyros habit? Shoot for one of the skepastis – that’s basically a Greek version of a quesadilla – including your choice of gyro meat with all the fixin’s stacked in between two round pieces of pita bread. The chips on their own are phenomenal as well, and believe us, you’ll be craving them constantly. This is one Five Dock restaurant you shouldn’t miss.
