We had a very nice lunch. Good value express lunch deal for $16 which included miso soup, rice, silken tofu salad, crispy fried chicken and teriyaki salmon with mushrooms and asparagus and quinoa. Nice atmosphere.
We had a duck from special lunch . It was very tender . Also a special dessert plate was delicious . We enjoyed very much !
Located in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD and decorated in a contemporary style with some traditional Japanese touches, Heirloom is a stylish atmosphere to dine in, and boasting a relaxed and casual vibe in true izakaya style. At this popular Melbourne CBD joint you can tuck into sushi, sashimi, or some share plates. We recommend the crispy soft shell crab, toro toro pork belly (braised pork belly with soy served with truffled mashed potato and curry oil) and tofu steak (pan-fried mashed silken tofu mixed with vegetables served with orange teriyaki sauce).
Or you could go for some Japanese skewers such as the wagyu karubi or truffled anagi skewers. Wash it all down with some Japanese whisky from their extensive selection, some micro-brewed Japanese beer or shochu, a distilled spirit popular in Japan.
