Hog’s Breath Cafe Hobart is the city’s home of juicy steaks, stacked burgers and good old-fashioned BBQ, begging the question – what’s not to love about this welcoming restaurant on Macquarie Street? With a large number of steakhouses scattered around the country, the Hog’s restaurant group has been pleasing Australian locals ever since 1989 with its hearty food and casual atmosphere. This Hobart CBD branch is no different, their menu packed with grilled meats, pasta, salads and seafood. The signature dish here is the prime rib steak, slow-cooked for 18 hours and an absolute melt-in-your-mouth indulgence. It’s not to be missed and goes down perfectly with a refreshing drink from the fully-licensed bar. Hog’s Breath Cafe Hobart is popular and we recommend booking in advance.

The meals were delicious and great service, highly recommended. Clean and tidy.
Our wait person literally threw our cutlery in the table as she rushed by to the point where it nearly landed in my lap. We ordered our starters, mains and drinks. We waited a short time for our drinks then another short wait for our starters. After this we waited a lengthy time for our mains. We were not offered salt and pepper (we know why they aren’t on the tables anymore). When our wait person cleared our table after mains we were not offered a dessert menu and had to call her over to ask for one. At no time did she take a few seconds to see how our meal was whether we required anything else. While she seemed confident in her role her attitude and lack of care for the customer let her and hogs down.
Overall service was amazing food, delicious and quick as always
