Peakhurst is fortunate to have a restaurant like The Honey Bee on Forest Road, because not many Sydney suburbs can claim to have such quality at hand. The creation of head chef and owner David Mullington, The Honey Bee menu showcases and celebrates the rich tapestry of influences throughout modern Australian cuisine, with homegrown produce given a touch of refined European class, the zing of Southeast Asian spice and the warming depth of Middle Eastern flavours. Open for dinner, The Honey Bee is a fine-dining restaurant by trade but a friendly neighbourhood eatery at heart, a place to enjoy haute cuisine food without any stuffiness.
Modern Australian food is a complex structure, made up of myriad social, cultural and environmental influences, and The Honey Bee understand this better than most fine-dining restaurants in Sydney. The staggering menu at this Peakhurst restaurant on Forest Road swings from an Asian-inspired roast duck salad with lime, chilli and caramelised tamarind dressing to Moroccan spiced lamb cutlets and a heavenly French-style roast vegetable terrine, all presented beautifully and tasting even better – and those are only the entrees. That should suggest that you’re in for a special, unforgettable treat, and through The Honey Bee’s delicious main, dessert, degustation and ever-changing specials menu you get exactly that.
We had a beautiful dinner at The Honey Bee. Great menu choices and service. I have been there three times and will definitely visit again soon.
Always good food and service. Four people $180 including BYO charges. We go for the mid week two course specials and share desserts. Try them!
great food. great menu, took a while for food to arrive but worth it.staff seemed a bit bored at times. Only 6 or so tables occupied.
My friends and I had a wonderful experience at The Honey Bee. The food was excellent and the staff were extremely knowledgable about the specials and the ingredients. The service was a great mixture of attentive without being intrusive on the conversation and when one of us left an item of clothing behind the staff were quick to call and let us know.
The food at 'The Honey Bee' is always great and there are so many lovely options on the menu that the only unpleasant thing about the whole experience is having to choose. I am a regular, but on this most recent occasion had the Duck Salad for entree and the Maple-glazed Duck for main. The salad is light and tangy - an ideal starter, but the Maple-glazed Duck, which hides a little stack of roasted winter vegetables, is divine. And then there are the desserts ... The Vanilla Pannacotta with caramel espresso sauce is hard to beat. And if you go on Tuesday to Thursday you can enjoy the mid-week special and have all this deliciousness for just $52.
Staff are always friendly and efficient with the food tasty and not scarce on the plate - we enjoy eating here. The menu has changed since our last visit and is more adventurous which is a good thing. They have a 2 course meal offer during the week representing good value. My tip - If you haven't ventured into degustation menu territory yet - the Honey Bee is a good place to start - at $65 head it's a pretty good deal.
We have been to this restaurant before and quite enjoyed it. I chose the Beef Cheek Pie as did my son. My wife had the Kangaroo while my other son had the beef fillet. We also had desert - my son and wife had the creme brulee while my other son had the chocolate lava cake and I had the sticky date pudding. All the meals were delicious
The Honey Bee Restaurant always provides us with friendly service, a comfortable dining experience without too much noise and above all delicious food that's value for money. We will definitely go again soon.
This was the first occasion I have visited this restaurant. The staff were friendly and extremely polite and made you feel very comfortable. The food was amazing. Every dish we ordered was well presented and cooked as asked. I have a nut allergy and the staff were very understanding. The only thing missing was background music. Will definitely go back.
The position and outlook belies the quality of the food. Whilst pricey it is more than worth the experience. Well worth a visit, will be back. Great service and fine food.
Great service and awesome food. I had no complaints whatsoever, i recomend this restaurant to whomever wants to eat somewhere where the food is delicious and the service is great.
fantastic service and food as always and the weekly specials are well worth the price. The two course or three course packages mid week are amazing value for money.
We love this restaurant, it's our favourite local. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the dishes are outstanding. Great place for nice meal in a very romantic setting
It is rare to find little gems like the Honey Bee in suburbia. Great tasting food, great atmosphere and great service. Treat yourself and give Honey Bee a try.
Honey Bee is a little gem and worth the visit. The two and three course meals are value for money and the food is delicious. The maple glazed duck and duck salad are amazing!
Really nice food and service and reasonable value. Lovely atmosphere, its always a pleasure to dine there. A lot of parking available so its easy to get to.
Beautiful food, relaxing environment. So great to have a restaurant of this calibre in the local area. Only one little mix up with our food order, otherwise perfect, attentive service. Would definitely return.
Two meals were great but other two meals not up to usual meat was bit tough and fatty tasting dessert plate delicious as ever one average meal wont stop us from going there as have been before as was always great
Consistently good food in a relaxed and friendly environment. My family and I have been here many times. Highly recommend a visit to this great family restaurant.
Nice atmosphere and very good service on top of delicious food. Four of us enjoyed the restaurant very much. Want to try the dessert tasting plate.

Man course was delicious I had the lamb rack but pricey. Dessert was very nice, i had the choc lava cake, it could had been a bit richer. Service was very good. BYO wine is a bonus.
Me and my friends had a lovely night out with great food. We took the advise for the set 2 course meal and shared 3 entrees and 3 deserts between the 6 of us.
The service at Honey Bee is very good. The food is excellent. Nice décor. I will certainly be a regular at this restaurant in the future.
Very welcoming staff, great choices on a fine dining menu. Lovely ambience. Dietary needs observed. Beautifully presented meals. Nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely return.
excellent food and service, only thing is they don't offer pepper mills,i liked my ground pepper! a great restuarant hidden away in the suburbs.good value always
I thought it was lovely but very over priced. The pork belly was mostly fat for $30. We more than likely would not go back. 🙂
