Excellent Peking duck and other dish too. we have enjoyed our dinner at Hua Lu Peking duck
There were lots of choices and foods were good and delicious as always!
love the duck.. it is extremely crispy skin. the soup would be nicer if it is hotter(temperature). love the table arrangement. so cosy n very family friendly as well. staff are very friendly and helpful. fried rice portion is very generous as well.
The Peking Duck was mediocre… being a specialist in duck restaurants, it was quite disappointing to serve that standard, it lacked of the umami. The condiment sauce was hinging more towards bitter rather than sweet. The salt and pepper duck which I ordered for the two way was too oily. The durian pastry was a bit too oily, should strain or dab the oil before serving. I was pleasantly surprised by the pork ribs with preserved vegetable and sweet and sour pork… those were really good, top notch! The staffs were attentive and pleasant, service was good. Might return again but definitely not for the duck dish…
Good environment and delicious food, the taste is just nice.
Originally went to try Peking Duck but my date just wanted Yum Cha. Ten dishes and two cokes $173 !! Including auto 10% gratuity. Four dishes @ $16.80 simply scallop dumplings were tasty but nothing special. Highlight was actually the egg tart. Quite simply Overpriced.
Very good Peking Duck and lovely place every table full at 6pm on a Tuesday. Seemed to be a favorite
Booked Yum Cha at 2.30pm. Yum Cha finished at 2.30pm. Kitchen closed at 3.00pm. Staff sleeping in booths when we left. Disappointing experience.
nice peking duck. the sweet and sour fried brinjal is very nice as well.
Nice place to have a decent pecking duck course! It has got spacious dining area.
Food is amazing, as usual. The service is impeccable. Always enjoy going there. My favorite restaurant ever! Thank you!
Tonight taste not that great, normally, they cook very delicious food.
Good food and enjoy the experience here. A lot of options to choose
Overall, everything is good, especially their kind and warm services. I am so grateful for their kindness by serving me with a bowl of “Chang Shou” noodle soup as the compliment to my birthday lunch. A little regret, the half duck we ordered was not warm enough for me to enjoy it.
Food was delicious 😃. Will be back again . Viva la france 🇫🇷
Food was quickly served after we ordered but the waiter and waitress service is bad. Walked off without waiting for us to finish talking and shows impatient attitude. Really disappointing!
Delicious ,generous dishes. Lovely space to dine. Efficient, helpful service.
Peking duck is the best and good value. Would recommend
Good food, good service, good location. Definitely be back again.
Like the Peking duck and yum cha, would like to go again
One of the best Chinese restaurants in Melbourne, treat yourself!
Great food, great service, great price, prompt service and great ambience
Wonderful food especially the truffle fried rice. Do not miss.
Omg very tasty 😋 definitely coming back next time!Huge fan of this restaurant.
Best food in town. Our kids (7&10yrs) also loved the food. Awesome service and super friendly staff. Highly recommended.
Meals are pretty good especially the duck. Times a little bit short as one staff come a few times to check if we finished or not but it's acceptable on Saturday night.
We recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, which offered quite good food. The menu showcased a delightful variety of flavors and dishes that were truly enjoyable. However, one notable concern was that all the food arrived in a somewhat chaotic manner, making it a bit challenging to fully appreciate each dish individually. Additionally, one of our dishes was taken away by the waitstaff even though it was not completely finished. This created a feeling reminiscent of conveyor belt service, which detracted from the overall dining atmosphere and experience. Despite these service hiccups, we genuinely enjoyed the food.
Peking ducknwas good. 10% Surcharge on the whole bill and then card fees is terrible. Sorry I won't be back on a Saturday night
Been here couple times, love the peking duck, sweet sour pork, great service
Noisy. Food just okay. Peking Duck average and very expensive.
Semi private dining table, nice and clean. Very good service, and very decent dishes as well as DimSums. We will come back.
Amazing food and very kind staffs. We will come back and recommend friends come here.
We went for walk-ins, been told the wait was 20-30 minutes, but got our table an hour later. We were then rushed the entire time, as they probably wanted to close soon. One good point is the duck was good.
Overall a poor dining experience. I would not recommend. They forget our meals and no apology was given.
Good food nice place great location only issue is not easy to find a free parking
The overall food quality and variety went beyond our expectation, in particular the seafood “salad?” in which fresh and refreshing! The fly in the ointment was the limitation of veggie refilling for the Peking Duck especially the duck was delicious and plenty!!
Had to wait 15 mins even though we made reservation. Food was ok
Delicious as always. Service is better than before. Highly recommended.
I like the roast duck here very much. My family and children like it very much. The service attitude is also very good!
The Peking duck was to die for. Plus the other food was awesome
1. The place feels dirty. 2. With 2 empty glasses on the table, no one bothered to ask if we want some water right from the start. 3. There were noticeable chips on the plates. 4. Music was too loud. 5. Next door table was too near, their talking was loud too. 6. The soup came but they didn’t provide any spoons. We need to request for it. 7. The soup was not hot enough. 8. All the dishes are very ordinary but they charged at quite a steep price.
Delicious and will forward to friends to recommend them to go
Food is good. Service is excellent. Will come back again.
It is a good place for both kids and adults. We all love the duck here.
Come here for the best Peking duck in Melbourne. Excellent
Food was decent. However, we asked for bowls and spoons for our soup multiple times and only got them after going up to the third waiter. My friend had to ask that they change the small wooden stools for proper chairs. Lastly, while we were still eating a waiter told us we had to leave as the next group booking had arrived. Personally, we won't be going back.
Peking duck was really great ! Thank you very much
Good food and service, however having multiple deliveries (raw meats) and cleaning trolley passing by was not something pleasant to watch during the dining experience
great atmosphere, peking duck was lovely, staff very helpful and friendly
Once you take a bite of this Chinese cuisine, you'll be transported on a flavor - filled journey. Each dish is a harmonious blend of fresh ingredients, traditional spices, and masterful cooking techniques. It's hands - down some of the best Chinese food I've ever had, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to you.
