There is a amazing place. The food is always delicious and the staff are friendly. However, the service is a little slow. I suggest to have time enough to chatting while you are waiting.
Thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast. Was well worth the money. Fast efficient service and fabulous coffee. Would like to be able to use vouchers on weekend. Will definitely go back
Breakfast was great, we had eggs Benedict and it’s the best we’ve had so far in Perth. Lady who served us was lovely. Overall great experience and would go again.
If you’re heading to Il Mandolino in East Perth for brekkie, then we recommend starting your morning with either the Norwegian eggs containing smoked salmon, poached eggs, avocado, spinach and tomatoes smothered in hollandaise or alternatively the Italian-style basil and lemon chicken on ciabatta. However, if you like things on the sweeter side of life, the Il Mandolino blueberry pancakes topped with cream, butter and edible flowers are a real treat – and, washed down with a freshly made juice, smoothie of coffee, we can’t think of too many other ways we’d prefer to start our day in Perth.
During the evening, Il Mandolino really kicks things up a notch. We’re talking real Italian gourmet pizzas topped with gorgonzola, truffle oil, mushrooms and parmesan or spicy prawns, mozzarella, zucchini and garlic, with lashings of olive oil of course. This Perth favourite also boasts an array of seafood specialities such as chilli mussels with garlic and white wine finished in a Neapolitan sauce, or local freshly-caught barramundi served with homemade sweet potato chips, and plenty more where that came from! But to discover what all the fuss is about this East Perth haven, you’ll just have to book a table at Il Mandolino on Hay Street – Buon Appetito!
