On Club Street in the heart of Chinatown, there is an outpost of Japanese cuisine among the pagodas and neon. IZY Dining and Bar is a restaurant with a lean towards the Land of the Rising Sun, and their inspiration is the izakaya culture that exists in their homeland, where drinks and food are served in an informal setting. Good restaurant with great food. Service was very good. Ambience was abit quiet and music choice abit strange for the night we visited but quality of food was great!
The food and ambience was great, would highly recommend the sushi rolls and swordfish. Prices on the higher side but ok when sharing with a group of people. Service was excellent.
The service was excellent - service with a smile. The staff was attentive, especially Sashi and Nizum. The dishes were very well timed. We did not feel rushed to finish our food. Neither did we have to wait long for the next dish to be served. The food was creative and delicious.
Very nice and friendly welcome from the staff, we had a lovely time tasting the delicious chief selection. We were sitting at the bar and therefore could enjoy seeing the chief preparing everything for us Lovely evening indeed, even if air cond was a bit too cold for us!
The food was expensive (cost $304 for 2 pax), but did not meet my expectations in terms of taste when I compare it to the Fat Cow or other similar establishments. No wonder they were not full and I could make a reservation a few hours before whereas I couldn't get a reservation for the Fat Cow. The foie gras was the best dish of the night. The wagyu truffle rice bowl I had was ok, but the beef was too finely cut and was more like yakiniku beef than a wagyu. The salmon belly sashimi was standard, nothing to rave about. The uni was not done nicely and still had a very strong 'fishy' taste. The mayonnaise accompanying the dish tasted better! The iced green tea we had cost $5 per glass but tasted terrible as it was so diluted, and there was no re-fill! The cocktails were passable, nothing special. Service was slow but the servers were polite. For the status of the place, the service was sub-standard as the servers were not able to anticipate basic customer needs, for example, the 'shared' dishes that we ordered did not come with side plates till I had to call them over to request them. All in all, it was a disappointing meal for me considering the previous reviews I had seen. It is unlikely I'll return.
It was a great dining experience especially we were entertaining a guest who used to live in Singapore for more than 5 years and just came back to attend some business meetings. The Sake recommended was good. The food was awesome. However, the Grilled Asparagus and Shiitake Mushroom was rather salty. Other than that, the rest of the food we ordered was to our satisfaction. Our guest had a good time.
The swordfish dish is awesomely prepared , the sashimi toro is very fresh too. The overall the ambience is relatively pleasant. The alcohol is abit pricey, we had the cheapest sale on the sake on the menu. It taste good. I feel that it's more suitable for small groups dinner date.
Modern Japanese food done with a fine touch. Ask if you can get drinks from Cache at the back to be brought out into the main dining hall, or order dinner food in Cache itself. The $12 cocktails are a great steal and absolutely delicious
It is indeed a hidden gem in the Telok Ayer Area, especially the bar at the back of the restaurant. Overall, good ambiance and food! Not only satisfied the taste buds but the visual as well
Dinner experience was great. Service staff were very attentive. Food was wonderful as well. I had the nokke roll, it was fresh and izy definitely did not scrimp on the ingredients! Ambience was nice as well.
