In the southern Brisbane suburb of Manly – not the one in Sydney, but just as maritime – one of the principle pleasures to be had is a stroll along the waterfront before stopping at Keith’s On Cambridge, a modern Australian restaurant and cafe along Cambridge Parade, close to the Manley Heated Swimming pool and with views out to Moreton Bay over the Manly Boat Harbour. It’s a great spot for sunset dining and drinks, with the harbour crammed with yachts, sails furled. Keith’s also do breakfast, brunch, and lunch, with the lamb breakfast a luxurious option including two lamb cutlets, poached eggs, grilled halloumi, caramelised onion and a rocket and Parmesan salad. A popular spot for coffee and cake, expect delicious and beautifully plated dishes like the pork belly with scallops, colcannon mash, celeriac puree and watercress salad to be on the cards come evening.
