More about Kluska Restaurant, Dandenong

Restaurateur Barbara of Melbourne’s famous Kluska Restaurant has cooking in her blood. Having learned the family secrets from generations of Polish women in her family – some recipes go back as far as 1830! – she soon mastered the art of Polish cooking. The restaurant features primarily classic, home-cooked dishes that highlight the best that the cuisine has to offer, from pierogis and potato cakes to beef rolls and Polish-style gnocchi, and they all come served up by friendly staff members who are proud to share the Polish heritage with their guests.

Like any good Polish restaurant, Kluska on Foster Street in Dandenong offers a wide variety of pierogis (traditional Polish dumplings) to choose from. Try some pierogi Ruskie (dumplings filled with potato and cottage cheese) or the kaczka (roast duck leg baked in apple sauce with carrot stew and red cabbage salad), followed by a Polish dessert like the makowiec, a traditional poppy seed cake. Or, you could mix and match from a number of dumplings, enjoy some zrazy (stuffed beef rolls) or sample from some Polish vodkas at this Melbourne favourite. Nostrovia!

Amazing service and food! It was wonderful to share traditional Polish food with friends and our children. Loved the atmosphere, and felt like our Babcia was cooking in the kitchen. We will definitely be back to Kluska's. Thanks
