Found right in the heart of Neutral Bay, La Puerta Latino Flavours is bringing you a taste of South America in a sophisticated environment on Waters Road. The cuisine on offer is unique and satisfying, utilising the continent’s finest ingredients and recipes to give diners the most authentic experience possible all the way across the world in Sydney. Open from Tuesday to Saturday, La Puerta Latino Flavours is one of the city’s most loved dining establishments.
It’s not often that you get real Latin American food, cooked authentically and without shortcuts, so far away from the South American continent itself. At La Puerta Latino Flavours in Neutral Bay, however, you’ll be pleased to know that the food on offer is truly as good as it gets. Led by owner and chef Oscar Espinosa, a native of Colombia who brings years of cooking experience to the table, this Sydney restaurant is a magnet for local food lovers and adventurous diners.
An experience at La Puerta Latino Flavours is best begun with an order of dips and tapitas, including costillitas (bite size deep-fried pork ribs), platanitos (avocado dip and plantain chips), tiradito, (thinly sliced marinated fish with aji amarillo) and empanditas (mini empanadas with beef). Move onto mains like the gaucho steak, the ultimate Argentinian-style steak with red wine chimichurri, the macho ensalada (chorizo and crispy potato salad with grilled capsicum chutney) or an order of chicharron (crispy pork belly with red and green puree with chorizo crumbs). True South American cuisine can be found at La Puerta – reserve ahead for an incredible flavour trip.
Food was amazing - still dreaming about it & planning the next visit. Must try cassava bread with smoked butter. Cocktails are fabulous. Absolute favourite restaurant.
