La Vela Restaurant

The lamb rump was tough, the scallopini with creamy mushroom sauce was delicious. We were not shown the Friday lunch specials menu and only found it after we ordered. It was hidden behind other items on the table. We would have ordered from it if we had known, When we mentioned this we were told that we should have known about it because they have had it for 5 years. We have only been to this restaurant at night previously. They are only open for lunch on Fridays. However on the positive side they gave us free coffees and chocolates.

Friendly staff. Lovely pink snapper the entree size filled me up. A bit noisy as our table for two was situated in the middle of the restaurant.

Amazing. We ordered the sausage starter and it brought up back to our italian roots. Chicken parma served with spaghetti and prawn gnocchi. Wow. Then sorbet and gelato. Never had such a great raspberry sorbet and chocolate gelato.

We had a lovely lunch at La Vela. The service was very friendly and warm and didn't have to wait for anything. The food was absolutely delicious and would highly recommend.

Good suburban restaurant with very good food and reasonably priced drinks, although I now know also BYO wine. That in my eyes is a plus. Friendly staff. The decor is a bit dated but not offensive. Recommend for a friendly night out with friends.

this is a an old family owned business and the food and service were Fantastic! We will definitely be back, it was authentic Italian that is hard to find in Perth.

very nice meal not overly expensive. BYO and only $4 corkage made this venue a place you will return to. The restaurant though lack any ambience . They should engage an interior designer, and keep every5hing else as is.

Great food and nice service. BYO is handy too. Entree platters were a highlight and two was enough for six people. Would recommend to those who like fine food.

Very crowded that night. We had to wait 1 hour for our main course, but the waitress did warn us about the wait, so that was ok. The food quality was as good as usual.

Lovely, authentic Italian food. Well priced, large serves. Delicious sausage plate entree for two and then had the pepper scallopini with prawns, very nice. A little noisy, but would go again.

Good service and reasonable prices, unfortunately my meal was warm. My husbands meal was nice and hot. I was too hungry to send it back!

THE FOOD WAS LOVELY BUT IT TOOK QUITE A WHILE FOR US TO BE SERVED. WE WAITED 40 MINUTES FOR OUR ORER TO BE TAKEN. MY DISH WAS BEAUTIFUL, BUT COULD HAVE BEEN A BIGGER SERVE.

Meals at La Vela were very good, staff were friendly and attentive, and it was a nice atmosphere inside the restaurant...will definitely go again. Booking our table on Quandoo was easy too, all together a very good experience.

Good food, friendly service, reasonably priced. Also BYO wine. Have been coming here for many years and both food and service are consistently good. Very generous serves too.

Great food, the homemade gnocchi was delicious. Catered to a few specific requests of the group and service was excellent. Buzzing atmosphere and love BYO.. top night out at a local 👍

The dishes that we ordered were very tasty. Very friendly service. Restaurant mostly suited for family and groups. Very much liked the fact that the menu has vegetarian options.

Descent local italian family restaurant. Friendly and attentive service. Prices are ok. Walls and interiors could do with a bit of colours for the atmosphere.

Excellent food and atmosphere. Fresh ingredients and shows the servings are made to order. The price is reasonable. Highly recommend! Make sure to book a table in advance.

Friendly family restaurant. Staff excellent, food well presented and delicious. My granddaughter was happy with her food and the colouring in sheet she was given. A very enjoyable evening. Definitely recommend.

Pleasant staff plus food has never disappointed us. Also it is byo. Always enjoy calamari but last time picked mussels - very tasty. Also a good pick is the veal with creamy mushroom and or prawn sauce.

The food and staff were great. Garlic bread was fantastic and all meals were a good size. Two of us got the entree size for mains and it was plenty.

Beautiful food homemade with great service to match. A busy night but a good one. Complimentary atancini was appreciated. Good wine list at reasonable prices.

Four of us went and can only say that the staff were so helpful without being in our face. The delicious food was all served together. We enjoyed the clean and inviting surroundings, easy parking and the fact we could hear each other talk. A delightful evening at La Vela :)

I have know La Vela for many, many years and I am visited it again last week. As usual it was a lovely friendly environment with great service and food...Well Done again..

The food, the service, everything was perfect. Unfortunately there were two large tables of patrons who were noisy and loud and they mindlessly succeeded in shouting the whole time. This was not the fault of the restaurant, but it was unfortunate, because everyone else in the place were enjoying some of the most beautifully prepared meals in Perth. I will be back. It is one of my favourite places. Recommended.
