Great find! Very rustic French cuisine not your pretentious Parisian...we could almost hear the accordians! Beautifully presented and cooked, pork delightfully full of crunch, coq au vin perfect. Highly recommend it.

Good food, good service. Only criticism is that the courses came too quickly - there was no chance to have a break between each course.

We came for lunch to celebrate our son's 24th - 8 people, so we tried pretty much everything on the menu. Food - delicious! Service - excellent! From cocktails, entrees to mains and desserts - can't fault anything! Will be back :)

The food was delicious, I had Coq au vin, my husband had the Duck. Of course a French bottle of wine. The two girls who served were charming and we were well looked after. We also had been there for lunch about a year ago. It was our 49th wedding anniversary.

Fresh simple and healthy food. Great meal washed down with a beautiful bottle of ocean 8 Pinot Grigio. Service was excellent, quickly has become one of our favourites.

Fabulous experience at Le Coq. Excellent service with great wine recommendations that paired really well with our delicious Coq au vin. The accompanying sides of steamed vegetables and duck fat potatoes were also great. I highly recommend this restaurant , we will definitely be going back.

Food average and slow. Provençal chicken lacked flavour. Mix grain salad came out soggy and needed to return. Was looking forward to finding a new local haunt that sold a decent chicken but sadly will need to keep looking

Service improved so that now it's fabulous. Food same. Rose out of this world as is the duck and the vegetables that accompanied it. Potatoes a sure winner. Desert; all good.

Very nice. Loved the zucchini and cheese souffle for starters, the ratatouille for a side and the pear tatin for dessert. Great selection of wines too.

We’ve always loved the french cuisine and ambience of this little inner west gem of a restaurant, previously la grand bouffe. The duck a l’orange, baby kilfers cooked in duck fat and generous serving of pear tarte tatin at our recent dinner did not disappoint. The point lost was due to our personal expectation/change to the front of house. One amazing waitress saved the day by letting us converse in french but we couldn’t help but notice that this part of the experience isn’t there any more. It may be that it’s now a more relaxed venue that happens to serve french cuisine and if that’s the case then it’s still worth a visit just not as special for us

The food was great, top quality. Service was too fast especially when we told them we wanted a slow service. They were enthusiastic, not aware
