Amazing place! I love the food here! It’s authentic Indian and we just keep coming back!

This was incredibly good food. Every dish we ordered was delicious. Authentic South Indian food in Melbourne is a rarity.

Good food with interesting vegetarians options. Very attentive service and descriptive creative menu with rare wine and desert options. Good ambiance and music! Variations to menue items are made possible and the me itself changes frequently.

There were 5 of us and everything we ordered was a pleasant culinary surprise. The staff we welcoming and explained everything to a bunch of Madras virgins.

Food was really nice but the portion sizes were a bit small. If they could improve the potion sizes then it would probably be the best Indian I’ve had in Melbourne.

Never had a bad time here. My goto place for a great authentic Tamil food. Feels like home food and always a great service and suggestions from the host. Brilliant.

The staff are lovely and the food divine. We had Gangotree's Famous Pav Bhaji and Buhari's Chicken 65 for entree, and Goat Curry and Chettinadu Chicken for main. Really good curry that leaves an aromatic taste in your mouth long after you have completed the meal. Highly recommend this place. Atmosphere is really good too.

Had a wondering evening at Madras Brothers. The food was excellent, with plenty of options for vegetarians and the cocktails were delicious. Will definitely be returning again soon.

Fantastic authentic Tamil food, lovely ambience, thoughtful and good service. Cocktails are also well matched and I have returned here more than five times now.

Madras Bros offers fantastic southern Indian cuisine, served in a casual environment with great staff. We had the pane puri, Kulipanayaram, goat and fish curry and all our dishes were delicious. Can't wait to go back there and working our way through the menu.

Large selection of snack items but not many rice options for the mains especially vegetarians. Great filter coffee. Buhari chicken was delicious. Excellent customer service.

Good food especially the mains but it's a bit pricey. Service is good. The snacks of pav bhaji, fish cutlet weren't anything close to Indian Street food taste but will recommend peanut masala and kulipaniyaram.

Really delicious food! I found myself diverted by the sharing snacks from (sharing) the small main course meals. It felt more like contemporary-style shared plates than the feast you usually have at an Indian restaurant, and for me, that didn't feel right. Makes me realise that I love a lavish spread of Indian veg, dhal, breads, rice, pickles, raita etc.

Good, flavourful, spicy food. Not too "localised" so Indians wanting spice will like it. Courteous staff and friendly manager. Good ambience in beer garden at back. Priced bit high compared to usual indian restaurants but not as high as fine dining. Has more snacks than mains but not just the common idli, dosa options. Would definitely go back.

It was an enjoyable and different dining experience. Unfortunately the website didn't explain how they do lunch versus dinner, so we were a little disappointed with the lack of choice. However what we did have was enjoyable. Staff friendly and helpful.

Food was fantastic and service to match. Go with the chef's choice, you will not be disappointed. There spin on a Whiskey sour is also delightful. Excellent bar skills.

It was great place to share food. Not your run of the mill Indian. Staff were fantastic. They should get some some non dairy milk though.

An authentic Madras restaurant. Great quality and service. Thamizhans in Melbourne and visitors from Tamilnadu try this restaurant at least once. Most of the dishes tasted very well. Keep it up owners and the staff.

I was transported right back to Chennai. Wonderful food and a much needed addition to melbourne’s Indian options. Truly regional cuisine. A must visit to explore a different India.

Innovative take on Indian food. Good value.. very knowledgeable maître d. This is a chance to explore a variety of Sth Indian dishes not readily available in more generic Indian restaurants. We will be back!

The food was wonderful, the cocktails were cleverly made and the staff were friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. A great spot for either drinks and nibbles or a full-on meal. We’ll be back!

Perfect ambience and outstanding customer service do little to make up for the lack of the quantity and price seems to be a little exorbitant

Food and service was very good but unfortunately music was a little too loud. Disappointed with the dosai....menu should explain a kal dosa is a more like a pike let than a traditional dosa. However the overall experience was good and food quality and freshness was worth the price. We will be back!

The food as good quality and generous although my partner queried the authenticity of some of the food. Wine small but quality The waiters were nice guys but were hopeless - wrong orders, not knowing the food, etc etc. Loud rock music ruined the ambiance as chennai is a musical centre in india. A ;little more could be done with the tamil decor!

Great food and reasonable priced. Service was slow once the restaurant filled up and they could definitely employ another person to help on weekends. Would definitely return and recommend this restaurant to other's.

The food was great and I'd be sure to go back. However, we didn't like that the waiter kept trying to push us to do a set menu when in actual fact it wasn't going to out better cost wise etc. for what we wanted.

Such amazing food!!!! I can't wait to go here again. The drinks could have been a bit better but the food absolutely and totally did it for us!!!
