It’s no small feat to stamp out a reputation for authenticity, affordability and reliability that differentiates yourself from the crowd of quality Vietnamese restaurants all around Melbourne – so Malvern Palace deserve some praise for doing just that. This gem of a find (right on Malvern Road at the corner with Cressy Street) always, always dish up fresh, fragrant bowls of deliciousness you can be sure have recently been whipped up as soon as you taste them. Malvern Palace stick to simple, traditional favourites to ensure this freshness and authenticity, but that in no way means your options are limited here – from dainty appetisers and light soups to hefty mains packed with pork, chicken, duck, scallops, fish, beef and vegetables, the scope is huge. To get a taste for how Malvern Palace differs from most Melbourne Vietnamese joints, we strongly recommend one of the house specials like the lightly battered honey and cashew nut prawns, or the empress chicken with crab meat sauce.
Very friendly staff and great food. Happy to accomodate with whatever you would like. Great when you have alagies and can only eat certain foods
Great food and great service. $180 for 4 people which included 3 courses (4 entrees, 3 mains and rice, 4 desserts) and alcohol. Highly recommended
