Indian restaurants are plentiful all over Australia, and those living down in Wollongong, Mango Tree Cafe & Restaurant is the place to go to pick up a fix of curry. Their menu is packed with favourites, with an authentic take on the taste of the subcontinent, from south Indian street food to Nepalese dumplings and pretty much everything in between. You can find them on Cliff Road in North Wollongong, and when you arrive, you’re going to want to start with something from the tandoor. Eskew the classics – though the seekh kebabs, paneer tikka and lamb cutlets are there – and go for the Tandoori Jumbo Quail, a rural speciality with freshly ground spices, topped with cheese and cooked in the clay oven. Follow it up with a prawn malabar, cooked in coconut milk, or a hearty lamb rogan josh, with fresh tomatoes and rich gravy. Gather up your mates and head on over to Mango Tree Cafe & Restaurant on the Cliff Road in the north of The Gong for a top-notch Indian feed.

3 for dinner very good food and excellent value for money
The noise level was so high that it was almost impossible to hear and understand the fellow guests at our table. It spoilt our experience. Sorry.
