Chapel Street is one of Melbourne’s top foodie haunts, with an array of international restaurants on offer. Take a trip down to the less busy end of the street and you’ll find a little piece of Turkey in the form of Marmara Restaurant, one of Australia’s longest-standing Turkish restaurants. Established all the way back in 1980, Marmara Restaurant is well versed in serving up delicious grilled meats, mezze, Turkish pizzas and more to the people of Windsor. We recommend heading over and trying the karisik izgara, a selection of Marmara Restaurant’s finest grills including doner, lamb fillet, chicken fillet, kofta, lamb cutlet and soujouk served with salad and pilaf rice. Vegetarians will find plenty of choice too, from veggie platters to the peynirli pide pizza topped with grated feta and an egg.

We actually were running late due to traffic, we called ahead to advise & they were so accommodating as they have a 2hr seating service. Everything from service, food & atmosphere was fantastic..
