Food was amazing but service was quite slow. Hard to flag someone to order a drink, then had to wait 20 minutes for it to arrive. First round of drinks and entrees came out fast but so did our main and we weren't even half finished our entrees which mean the mains were sitting going cold. They don't serve burgers after 5.30PM but this isn't listed on the menu, they rely on waitresses to tell you, which ours didn't, so came back 10 mins later asking my husband to change his order. Seriously though, as if not offer burgers for dinner! And after this they still tried to charge us for the burger as well as the main my hubby ended up ordering as it hadn't been removed from the bill. Drinks menu stated there are beers on tap but upon asking which ones, we were told that actually there isn't yet and it's not like they have only been open for a week or two. Meals were a good size and food was cooked perfectly and full of flavour - seafood lovers have to try the mussels, totally amazing! Steak was cooked to perfection although the side dish stated in the menu wasn't available which they also didn't mention when ordering and was replaced with mash (luckily I love mash so worked out okay!). Would return purely to have the mussels but honestly recommend they get more bar and wait staff on to keep up with demand. We would happily have spend a lot more there but ended up leaving to go elsewhere for dessert and more drinks in the hope that we wouldn't have to wait so long.
Went there for my birthday on Easter Saturday night, 31st March 2018. Food was great, staff were friendly and pleasant to deal with but that is where it ended. No-where to stand while waiting to be seated, so we wandered towards the bar and waited until someone noticed us. The place was very busy so we tried to make exceptions for the slow service. It was 35 mins after being seated before anyone approached us to take any type of order, we were told the drinks would be slow so we ordered two at once just in case. 90 mins later our drinks finally arrived, we asked waitress to see if our food was far away, she said she was a bit afraid to ask as kitchen was being slammed. Food arrived 20 mins after our drinks. Very disappointed in the cocktails. Had 3 each over the space of the night, all came half full and you couldn't taste any alcohol at all. By the 3rd cocktail we queried the half full drinks (at $17 each, wouldn't you!) as we had seen others going past us which were much fuller than ours. Were told that was the standard size so they had no idea why others appeared to be getting fuller drinks. Only thing to come quickly was the bill, then we noticed a 15% public holiday surcharge. When I said I hadn't been told about this I was advised it was written clearly on the menu, so make sure you flip to the back and grab a magnifying glass as that is the only way it is visible, not stated on their main website page. As I said, the food was great, maybe the service will improve over time, but the half full cocktails and the service charge for public holidays will stop me from going back anytime soon.
Food is great, drinks are great, vibe is great 👌 only downside is the waitresses seem so..So unorganized. It took us 5 minutes to be seated while the girls were just walking around aimlessly, everyone in line was getting grumpy. They had 1 gentlemen seating and cleaning tables, and the girls doing.... Who knows what. I know it's a new place- and most staff seem new to hospitality though I hope they get their stuff organised soon because I really do enjoy it there once seated. Bartenders are fantastic, nice guys easy to get along with and have amazing customer service. I'll definitely be going back, and will happily give the full 100% positive rating once the wait staff start working 😂
Been there a few times in the lounge area for dinner and enjoyed the atmosphere with the dim lights, the wall dec, the gentle calming colours , staff and meal So booked for a special surprise birthday Booked on line specifically requested the armchair /lounge side of the restaurant Received a call to confirm and requested The preferred seating which they said noted On arrival they take to the casual dining section . I asked if we can have the other side with the arm chairs Waiter replied no it only seats 2 On the way out paying the bill which is near the lounge there were 5 people together on the arm chairs Not happy this was a special birthday Dinner and we were seated in the casual section with all the noise etc We only ordered main and left Disappointed as it was meant to be a longer fun night but we were out in 45 min Wow need to rethink about returning . The casual side of the restaurant is extremely bright And rugged bit like a cafeteria style
The staff were very friendly, pleasant and polite, the restaurant itself had a nice atmosphere, classy and modern. The cocktails and food were delicious. The only reason why I didn't rate a 6 was that it did take a long time to receive our food. Luckily my friend and I had nothing at all to do that day (a rare occurrence), so it didn't bother us. If we were time poor however, it may have been an issue. Looking forward to coming back :-)
Food and drinks were great. The lounge area is awesome for long Sunday lunches but bring extra layers - it’s freezing and draughty in that corner of the restaurant. The music was weird. Great if its background but more than once someone obviously realised there was NO music and hit play then it was too lound and didn’t fit the atmosphere at all! No one is there to listen to THAT! Turn it down a smidge and blend it to the time of day/ customer cohort. I wanna talk to my friends, not OVER the music.
