Given the current climate surrounding COVID-19, many authorities are placing restrictions on social gatherings. In the best interest of everyone’s safety, we are continuously updating the availability of our partner restaurants to reflect these measures. We encourage people to still support the restaurant industry in other ways.Learn how
Right at the top end of Lygon Street in Brunswick East lies Mi Corazon, a Mexican restaurant that really puts south-of-the-border heart and soul into their cooking. They offer up a full menu of authentically-spiced Mexican favourites, with a drinks selection to match – Melbourne’s largest mezcal and tequila range, since you’re asking – and an ambiance that will make you feel like you’ve been transported from Australia to Oaxaca.
Delicious Mexican food! Interesting menu. Took a Mexican friend there, and she agreed. Would particularly recommend the guacamole. My son loved it - he licked the platter clean. Lovely waiting staff, pleasant environment. My only negative feedback is that there are too many hard surfaces, so the restaurant gets a bit loud when full.
Not great service, not quick or attentive (we had to ask for drinks). But great food and came out of the kitchen quickly! Would go there again!
The food was excellent and we loved the option to share everything between our group. The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere and very friendly staff. Will definitely visit again.
Mexican eating and drinking is more than just tacos, tortillas and tequila, but at Mi Corazon in the heart of Brunswick East, it’s not much more. With authentic flavours like this restaurant serves up, why bother with more? They have a menu that focuses on getting the favourites down to perfection and also on offer is a mezcal and tequila range that accompanies the food. No bar in Melbourne can match Mi Corazon’s spirit selection and the food is as well-spiced and fiery as any available on Lygon Street, so get down and experience it for yourself.
Lygon Street is the centre of Italian cuisine in Melbourne, but up at the top end of the road in Brunswick East, there is a small corner of Mexico waiting to welcome you. Mi Corazon’s attempt at arancini – a staple of the Little Italy restaurants that they call neighbours – is filled with Mexican ingredients: red rice, cactus and coriander. Their tacos, tostaditas and quesadillas live up to their outstanding reputation as well, so make sure that you go in a large group, so you can share them out across your group.
