Montezuma’s - Mt Gravatt

Really wonderful experience. The customer service and food was excellent. The person waiting on our table was awesome and someone in our group was gluten and dairy free and this was catered for and totally felt confident that this restaurant caters for allergies. The staff were just wonderful. It is awesome to go to a restaurant that caters for everyone.

-The app ordering app doesn't have all the food and drinks items so you end up having to order in two ways which caused a lot of confusion with the wait staff -meals came out at different times and some didn't come at all (until having to ask several times) -no toilet paper in one of the two toilets -positively, the staff were friendly, food was nice and it wasn't too loud

Whilst the food itself was good however the portion size wasn’t reflective of the price, especially the chilli con carne which was very small serve - mostly all rice and no option to make this spicy. I did however enjoy the enchilada dish. Also, the service a bit too prompt, our water glasses cleared before we had a chance to finish our water (not asked if we were done)!

Absolutely amazing!!! I’m a professional bodybuilder and I eat here for my cheat meal! Staff are always friendly and helpful and the food is amazing! 🙌👌☺️

A long wait at the front counter to be shown to the table which I'd booked. Many people waiting to enter, and exit/pay. Why was only one staff member allocated to this? Once seated, it took a long time for someone to take our order. She was terrible. Did not have the English language skills or comprehension to do her job. We pretty much had to ask for everything three times for her to be able to take our order. When delivered, there was one wrong meal (which was taken away a few minutes later and given to another table!) and incorrect drinks. We stayed chatting a fair while after dinner - dirty plates were never taken away, and we were never offered desserts etc. Food was excellent. Love the new Jalapeno Poppers!

We had an appointment and attended at the 5:30pm appointment time, but several hours after, I received an email cancelling the appointment?? - a bit odd I also wrote on the appointment a special note that it was my son’s birthday - however there was no evidence that this note was seen or acted on - disappointing.

Diced shredded chicken was served. This was evidently a frozen product reheated. When served we had to return the tacos as the meat was still cold. What happened the the traditional freshly cooked meat at Montezuma's. Big shame.

Our family have been going to Montezumas for nearly 20 years at different venues. Followed the previous owner of the Mt Gravatt store when she moved from our local Beenleigh store. We were very sad when she retired. When the new store opened we were so happy and visited regularly. We returned tonight in celebration of my father’s heavenly birthday as Montezumas was his favourite restaurant to eat at when he came to visit us in Queensland. We all ordered our usuals as we usually do without looking at the menu only for one to arrive completely different. My “chicken” burrito that I paid an extra $3 for the chicken, was full of refried beans and a few pieces of chicken. The old menu it didn’t have beans which is why I order it. When I asked the staff member to check if I had ordered correctly I was told “this is the way the owner does it now, all you can do is put a review that you won’t be back”. So here is my we won’t be back review. I was not offered to change my order but I was told I still had to pay for the one I got as the staff member “didn’t have a manager key”, and again to leave a review that I wasn’t happy. I was not even offered a drink or anything else. We would have ordered more drinks and desserts and also take away meals for our family who couldn’t make it.

Owners have changed I think. Service was quicker because you order through QR code. Food was average. They have very few options for dessert. Pity they don't do Mexican desserts like flan, or tres leches. Overall it was ok

Have been going to Montezumas for many years and this is first time I’ve been disappointed. Quality of food was not the best…mush on a plate!! Definitely has gone down on my list of places to eat.

Really glad to have rediscovered Montezumas…best of all, it’s around the corner from home!

The food was great, but there was insufficient staff which meant our meals all came out at different times (at least 20 mins from first plate to last plate!) and the drinks orders took too long. Also, the regular Avacado was pitiful for the price we paid. It cost $5.50 for the equivalent of half an Avacado!

Food was good but there was only 1 staff member out front who was run off his feet and meant our drinks were delayed and food did not come out all together. Food was good as usual and if they can staff the restaurant properly then I'd highly recommend. Price wise its very expensive. $34 for the main is way too expensive and far more than the old Montezumas that was down the road.
