Serving authentic Neapolitan pizzas in the heart of Redfern, Napoli Nel Cuore is the place to visit for traditional dishes, just like your southern Italian grandma might make. Hailing from a family of pizzaiolos (four generations!) the folks running Napoli Nel Cuore really know their stuff – the two locations are proof of the restaurant's popularity throughout Sydney. Found on Bourke Street just moments from Moore Park, Napoli Nel Cuore is a must-visit pizzeria.
Known for offering up the city’s best pizzas, Napoli Nel Cuore in Sydney’s Redfern makes use of their old world pizza-making wisdom in their state-of-the-art kitchen, then serve it up with a smile to a dining room full of regulars, families and foodies. Among a huge array of restaurants along Bourke Street, Napoli Nel Cuore stands out with a quality that you can taste in every bite. Utilising a woodfired oven, the flavours at this beloved pizzeria are simply on the mark.
Visiting Napoli Nel Cuore’s Redfern location without trying the pizza would be like committing a crime – it’s just that awesome. Meat lovers would do well to order the Salumi, a pie with a tomato base topped with mozzarella, ham, salami and sausage. Big appetite? You can’t go wrong with the calzone fritto, a calzone stuffed with tomato sauce, mozzarella, ricotta, salami and pepper, then deep fried (you heard that right!). The homemade pastas and risotti on offer are also fantastic, and harken back the old days when ingredients were kept pure and simple, without any processed or artificial ingredients. Reserve ahead for the chance to try incredible Neapolitan pizza at this Sydney restaurant!
Authentic Italian experience! Don't count too much on the service, but when you try the pizza you won't eat any other pizza!! It's just amazing!!
Full house, cosy long setting, buzzy atmosphere, friendly accommodating front staff and serving staff. Great wood fired pizzas, authentic Italian beer and soft drinks - good all round.
Not exactly a fine dining kind of establishment, more a very casual relaxed place you could wear thongs to ;) but great pizza and would recommend it
I liked the pizza but I would like it better a bit more crispy. The service was good and friendly but the cork fee should be abolished.
Great pizza but absolutely awful/non existent service. They forgot to take our mains order, being us our drinks and bring us the dessert menu, kind of amazing really. It was so hot in there we gave up on dessert in the end.
As usual, Friendly staff very attentive and amazing food for great value this is why we always come back.. parking is always an issue unfortunately
This place needs to play some music, it was dead quiet, almost uncomfortable and then they played some backstreet boys (?) some nice italian music would create a much better atmosphere. Also, dishes were cold and pizza sloppy. :s
Pizza was a bit bland, not too generous with toppings, I was disappointed, though the pizza base was nice and fresh, maybe I picked something that wasn't good
The food was average/good. The place lacked ambience (no music) and the waitress was very confused. Not a bad place but given the standard of restaurants in the area, probably wouldn't recommend.
Loved the food and the quirky atmosphere! Can't wait for our next pizza.
