The menu is easily and rightly the star of the show at PappaRich in Northbridge. Showcasing the best of Malaysian cuisine – which is heavily infused by Middle Eastern, Indian, Chinese and Indonesian cuisines – you’ll find a range of flavoursome takes on nasi lemak, dim sum, noodles, roti and satay dishes. So, how to navigate it all? Well, we recommend kicking things off at PappaRich with a couple of dim sum to begin, filled with either prawns, chicken or beancurd – they really are the perfect nibble to whet your appetite.
Following on, if you’ve got a hankering for a fragrant bowl of noodles, tuck into PappaRich’s famous fish head noodle soup with vermicelli rice noodles, silken tofu, tomatoes, choy sum and mustard, or, keep an eye out for the chicken laksa that will really invigorate your senses with its spicy curry broth. With rice dishes and satay skewers smothered with the famous Malaysian satay sauce alongside traditional Malay drinks like ice lychee jelly and teh tarik (hot milk tea), you can be rest assured your tastebuds will be in heaven at PappaRich, each and every time. You’ll find this Perth space on James Street in Northbridge – we weren’t kidding when we said it’s one of Perth’s best Malaysian dining spots, so reservations are absolutely essential.
PappaRich has always been a favourite for authentic Malaysian cuisine. My favourite is the Nasi Lemak Beef Rendang. They have quick service, friendly and helpful staff. The Northbridge restaurant is in a great location, easy access.
Great food, I reckon it’s the best of the 3 Papparich stores I have tried. The chicken skin was served warm and crispy and the char kway teow was fragrant and delicious. Even the egg gravy of the hor fun was on point and generous in portions.
We were happy to bring a guest that has never been to any PappaRich before. We all enjoyed the atmosphere and a highlight was the generous servings of tender, tasty chicken curry.
