Decorated with vintage French posters and traditional white table cloths, Paris Go brings some Parisian elegance to Rathdowne Street. Francophiles will be more than satisfied with dishes like the Moules au champagne (fresh steamed southern Tasmanian mussels with champagne sauce) and the canard a la montmorency (confit leg, roasted breast in port with red currant and wild baby figs), while seafood purists should try some of Paris Go’s prime oysters. Of course no French meal would be complete without a decadent dessert and we recommend trying the pouding aux figues (fig pudding served with rum and raisin ice-cream, topped with butterscotch sauce) or the classic crème brûlée. For a little piece of France in Melbourne, book a table at Paris Go in Carlton.
A nice French bistro with tempting daily specials, at moderate prices. Front of house staff also friendly and attentive. Recommended for a good night out.
Superb food, attentive staff and great company. Beautiful fresh produce and traditional dishes and flavours. Our visitors from interstate, who are discerning diners, were delighted. We are already planning our next visit. Tres bien.
Superb French food. The soups à l’oignon was the best I have ever had. Paris Go is a fine Melbourne institution which I hope will go on for ever
