Fantastic food, top notch bevs, even better recommendations from staff. After a long time meaning to visit the experience was 10/10. The wait was worth it!

I love Polé Polé, the food is always amazing plus the cocktails are so tasty, after dinner we went upstairs to the Glamp bar and the atmosphere again was great, and the music too. I'll always go back, as I'm never disappointed 💗💗💗

The restaurant is hard to find, especially if it’s the first time you go to it, during the night: pay attention to a thin red door on the south side of the street. Food might have been good but definitely not to my palate. Service was slow but courteous. It gets busy on “Wild Wednesdays.”

I met an old friend there for dinner while on a one night work visit on a quiet Tuesday night, so wait times and noise levels weren't an issue. I was greeted by a very friendly staff member and when my friend arrived he was shown directly over. Tom who looked after us for the evening was wonderful - friendly, informative and helpful, so the service was spot on, and let's face it, good service can make up for a multitude of dining sins. The African beers were good and unexpected happy hour prices made drinks exceptionally good value indeed. It was the food that let this place down. Without going into detail about each and every dish we had, overall the flavours weren't balanced and everything just didn't add up. The jerk chicken I had, while not dry, was chewy and although very tender, there was something lacking in the goat curry - it was heavy on cinnamon but there wasn't much richness or balance to the rest of the dish. We both left feeling very underwhelmed by the food, but as for the rest - it was a good night.

Really great meal in all respects. Requested a vegetarian version of the 3-course "feed me" for a group of 4 and it was excellent. Portions were generous and service was outstanding from start to finish - attentive without being intrusive and exceptionally helpful. Definitely looking forward to going back and trying some of the meat dishes that were being served on the adjacent table, as well as having another Big 5 Buzz cocktail (lemon meringue pie in a glass!).

Lovely venue one floor above Little Collins Street. High ceilings, long bar. The service was impeccable - friendly, helpful with menu choices, attentive. There is a good selection of African beers and wines, and we enjoyed both. The food is all prepared for sharing and was a taste sensation. Try the goat curry! Highly recommended. This was our second visit in 3 years and the quality and experience was maintained between our visits. Well done!

Loved every minute. Enjoy the African beers on offer (try the Flying Fish) and every part of our meal. The waitress was lovely and made us feel right at home. The food was amazing, so much favour packed in. Celebrated our ten year anniversary there, was just prefect for something mid week and chilled.

There were two dessert options and they had run out of the second option by 7.30pm. The restaurant also doesn't serve tea or coffee.

Food great! Main meals came at different times we waited a while. Service wasn’t great! Low on staff! Had to ask for water a number of times! Pity because restaurant itself looked so mixed great decor.

Server attitudes were great, however they should have done more in explaining the size of the serving. Wasted at least half the “Feed me more” menu we ordered. Kitchen isn’t very good with their timing as they served an additional dish to the second course which didn’t fit and forced us to consumed it as they explained it would dry out. Nice tasting dishes, terribly planned meal. Great cocktails and drinks though so may just return for that.
