Lovely relaxing lunch. Girls were very welcoming and friendly. Great
A great experience, lovely location, great food, wine and service
was a great relaxed atmosphere all round, would highly reccomend
Lovely location and food but noisy inside when busy due to bad acoustics.
We had a tasting share plate and the food was absolutely divine! There was a lovely variety of tasty morsels on the platter and the portion size was good. It was so nice to have something other than the usual cold meats and cheeses that many other places have. We each had a very nice cocktail to drink. We did taste the wines and found quite a few that were to our liking. The cellar door prices are good, but the prices of the wine in the restaurant are more expensive. The ladies who served us in the restaurant were attentive but not intrusive. We had such a fabulous time that we are already planning to go back soon.
A very acceptable lunch in a lovely location. Service was kind and the right balance of prompt without being pushy. All our dishes - which we ate as share plates - were good. The pancetta salad, arancini, couscous salad with chicken. Portion of chicken was generous and properly cooked - tender and NoT overdone. The side of chips was disappointing in size, and in that they still seems undercooked and not hot, despite apparently being thrice cooked. This could so easily have been fixed. Whilst the 2 salads we had were both good, we found them a bit “samey” i.e. a lot of common elements. With just a little more easy effort they could have been more distinct and all the better for it. Overall a good effort and was close to being a higher rating. Well worth a try and I hope the staff can make those few small tweaks that’ll make it even better. Thanks.
Unfortunately there was along wait for our meal, then when the fish came it was raw in the middle, the waitress took it back and they just chucked it back in the deep fryer, when she bought it back she said they were unable to give us a new piece of fish as this was the last one..... hmmmmmm, there was also no offer of reducing the bill or even an apology for a less than satisfactory main course. The meals were also a little on the small side for the prices charged. We had to ask the waitress for more drinks and also to even see a dessert menu....all in all quite a disappointing first time to this promising venue. :(
All our meat that was served was cold. Two shared platters were ordered and 1 beef steak. Whilst the food was good, the cold meat was slightly off putting. As we had two small children and 1 type 1 diabetic in the group, we were not in a position to send the food back and wait longer for this to be sorted. We also noticed that the one of the beers we ordered had actually expired. When we mentioned the cold food to the waitress, she checked with the chef and replied that 'yes the meat was supposed to be warm'. Nothing further was done.
We celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary together having lunch. The staff were very attentive. The food was first class, the steak was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was excellent and the view was so beautiful and relaxing right down to the choice of background music. We look forward to returning with friends in the near future. Thank you Ann & George Dawson
Nice restaurant, good food, lovely staff. I would like something different on the view from the restaurant that would include water. That stream is not very pretty, and some water included in the view would totally make it a higher standard. The vineyards and that masive tree are beautiful, though. Overall, positive feedback and would reccomend it to friends. Thank you
